Recycling at Home Depot

Did you know?
This store helps divert waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot sold to Trex last year. This is used to manufacture composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
LED lights in your local store helped save on energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours last year. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like solar and wind.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to our communities and the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn More.

The Yucca Valley Home Depot Team
How do I stop cold air from coming in at the bottom of the door?
If you have cold air seeping in under the door, you'll want to fix it to keep your house cozy and prevent higher heating bills. When a house settles unevenly, pieces that once fit snugly can go off-kilter. Gaps can form around the sides of doors or the thresholds may loosen with time. Fill the space with weather stripping or foam tape, and caulk any cracks in the wooden door frame. If you're still feeling drafts around the door, place an insulated fabric door snake along the ground.
When can I use my Blackstone griddle or grill again?
Cold temps put a damper on outdoor dining and grilling. When spring has sprung, bring out your trusty grill to warm things up even more. Enjoy a spring evening out on the patio, grilling vegetables, stone fruit, meat, or even pizza. A Blackstone griddle makes it easy to flip and char your food just right. Blackstone flat top grills are the solution whenever you want to grill a savory and delicious meal.
How can chainsaws help with winter and spring yard cleanup?
If you've got extra wooden pallets and spare wood sitting in the weeds, chop them up with a chainsaw in the spring so you can get rid of them or store the wood for later use. Spring is a good time to organize the firewood pile and trim broken tree branches too. Before firing up your Homelite chainsaw, ensure that the chain isn't rusted or dull and that it's been oiled. Then, while wearing the proper safety gear, use your electric or gas chainsaw to cut the wood. Make pieces the same size for easier storage.
Does the Yucca Valley Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?
Yes, the Yucca Valley store offers in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. You may reserve your Kids Workshop kit by registering online for the event. Each month features a unique and exciting new kit pack to keep little doers engaged. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Kits may be ordered online at our Kids Projects Activities page or picked up in-store if you prefer to participate in the workshop from home. Visit our customer service counter or call us to order your kit.
How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Gift cards to The Home Depot are a popular present during the holiday season or for any special occasion. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to receive and to give. You can buy gift cards at our stores or online at homedepot.com. If you receive a gift card, you can check your gift card balance online or visit the Yucca Valley Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Use our gift cards to shop online or redeem them in-store. There are no additional fees to worry about.

Very satisfied with my desk lamp and the excellent way I was treated at Home Depot Yucca Valley!
I wanted to buy the floor sample for Lamp #1004-564-729 T20 Industrial Balance Desk Lamp, but the store clerk said I couldn't because it was a floor sample. I politely asked to speak to the store Manager, Kellie, and she told me that I actually could buy the lamp, because "it was part of our inventory," and I was very pleased with how she helped me. I also had a great experience with the cashier Alissa. She suggested that I buy an extended warranty for my lamp for only $6.00 more, and I did.

good store,..but not like theres any other option lol
my local home depot, which is still a 2 towns over 30 min drive, isnt that much different from any other big orange box store the world over, they have all the home depot stuffs as they should.. but since were kinda far out n maybe a lil behind in the times here on the area, the store tends to reflect that, sure its got wood, cement, fasteners, etc... but other than the bare bones necessities, it really skimps out on the random lil things that you tend to suddenly need while ur on the job. but nonetheless its a solid spot, w amazing staff who couldn't be more knowledgeable and helpful which makes up for alot of the not-in-stock-ness lol

Rude person working at the Christmas trees
Tried to force us on a $50 upsell then when it didn’t work dragged the Xmas tree and broke branches, didn’t put on netting and wasn’t going to attempt to help taking it to the car until I stated I was writing a review because this was a ridiculous experience. Definitely going to drive further for a better Xmas tree buying experience
