Hi John! Thank you for contacting us at Delta Faucet! I will be happy to help. We typically recommend a 4" x 4" hole in the panel for this rough-in valve. Please contact us directly if further assistance is needed at this time. Best Regards, Tim
We installed ours in a shower only application. The valve has three positions that allow main shower only, handheld and main shower together and handheld only. If you are getting water out of the showerhead and handheld in all three positions then I think you may have it installed incorrectly - upside down? It took a couple of tries for us to get it right. Test it before you install it with temporary water or just blow in the ports until you figure out how the thing works.
Thank you for your question, JT! This valve will allow you to divert between 2 or 3 showering components. A loop is not required unless you are connecting multiple body sprays to a single diverter outlet. Best regards, Jon
Yes you can.
Thank you for your question, Tom! The RP19804 cartridge is only designed to work with existing 1300/1400 Series valves (manufactured prior to 2006). Current trim kits use a MultiChoice R10000 Valve. A pre-2006 1300/1400 Series trim kit will work with a MultiChoice valve using the RP46074 cartridge. Hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. No. Must order separate, based on your water valve ring choice (brushed nickle, chrome, etc).
You will need three diverters. One for each shower head 3 pcs.Delta R10000-UNWSHF MultiChoice Universal High-Flow Shower Rough - Universal Inlets / Outlets (For use with shower only models) 3 pcs any style Delta three-way trim kit that will fit R10000 -UNWSHF
I've installed several of these and have always maintained 8 1/2" center to center between the valve and the diverter. This gives you a space of approx 2-1/8" between the trim of the valve and the trim of the diverter. So in order for the trim pieces to clear each other I would say you can't go closer than say 7". That would still maintain a space of approx 5/8" between trim pieces.
Thank you for your question, Mary. This is a 3/6 Setting Diverter Valve only and does not control the temperature. If you have a Delta 13/14, 17, or 17T series shower valve, the unit will have a pressure-balance or thermostatic anti-scald device, and you can set the maximum temperature by adjusting the Rotational Limit Stop. Please refer to the Installation Instructions for your unit for help with this or feel free to contact us at 1-800-345-3358 or customerservice@deltafaucet.com. Best regards, Jon
If you will have only one shower head, rain or other, you donot need to change, if you will have two or more shower heads then you have to have a DIVERTER in order to select different shower heads
