Q:I read that someone split their output water one to the countertop and one to the drinking water in the refrigerator. How can this be done? What kind of equipment is needed?

A:  Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, you can have it going to the fridge directly or have it tee-d off, but we always advise that you might have a pressure drop. You can purchase a quick connect fitting from Home Depot or Lowe's, and connect the Tee-fitting to the outlet that goes into the faucet. Unfortunately, we cannot make any other recommendations on what to use to connect it to the refrigerator being that our systems are not manufactured to connect with refrigerators/ice makers. Thank you, Customer Support

A:  I did this and it was very easy. You simply need to T the output and run a line to your countertop and then one to your refrigerator. I used clear flex tubing and a T that I sourced locally.

            Answer This Question

A:  Hello Bob, Thank you for your question. The battery door for the AQ-5300 is located on the top center section of the manifold. There you will visually locate the battery holder with a pull-out tab. Once you have located the battery door, we kindly ask you to remove and discard the old battery. You will then place the new battery on, positive side facing to the back. When inserted properly, your system will beep (5) times and blink red. A:  I don't own the home anymore, but it was under the kitchen sink. It was a little tight when we changed the filters. My water was questionable at this house and this system worked very well.
