Answer This Question

A:  Hello, Thank you for your question. The Reverse Osmosis is the only system that we offer to help reduce fluoride from the drinking water. All of our other drinking systems have been tested and certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53 (includes P473), and 401 for the reduction of over 97% of chlorine and chloramines, 99% of lead, and 96% of PFOA/PFOS. It’s also certified to reduce mercury, chlorine-resistant cysts, herbicides, pesticides, VOCs, pharmaceuticals, and more. -Aquasana Customer Support

Q:Last night I installed AQ-5300+. I have adequate pressure/flow in my home. Water is flowing to the pre-stage filter and is partially filling up the 2nd. No water in 3rd filter. An no water to the dedicated faucet. Any hints/tips to troubleshoot?

A:  I called customer service for a similar situation and had to place a quarter underneath the filter. There was a small space that didn’t allow the filter to engage properly

A:  The under-sink tri filter setup is more-straight forward than the whole house approach where for example the main filter has charcoal etc. that can pressurize upward into the neck and produce a blockage. The only way to resolve is to shut off the water and allow it to settle back out, then turning on the water again, slowly. It's hard to say if the 2nd filter in your setup is behaving similarly. I didn't notice any issues when installing a tri setup under my kitchen sink. The water flowed easily into all filters.

Q:I read that someone split their output water one to the countertop and one to the drinking water in the refrigerator. How can this be done? What kind of equipment is needed?

A:  Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, you can have it going to the fridge directly or have it tee-d off, but we always advise that you might have a pressure drop. You can purchase a quick connect fitting from Home Depot or Lowe's, and connect the Tee-fitting to the outlet that goes into the faucet. Unfortunately, we cannot make any other recommendations on what to use to connect it to the refrigerator being that our systems are not manufactured to connect with refrigerators/ice makers. Thank you, Customer Support

A:  I did this and it was very easy. You simply need to T the output and run a line to your countertop and then one to your refrigerator. I used clear flex tubing and a T that I sourced locally.
