A:  Hi Marg, the product is not completely flat. It is slightly raised on the edges.

A:  Product is not perfectly flat like a washer or cut steel.   Like all faceplates, the outer edge has a slight bevel designed to cover any protrusion of the box through the drywall.    It’s ever so slight, but is present enough to make me say that’s it’s not perfectly flat. A:  Hi Joel, It's hard to say since I don't know the screw spacing of the box you have. The plate is designed to fit standard 3.5" boxes. The screw holes are spaced 2.76: apart. I hope that helps.

A:  I think that the 6 inch is going to work perfectly for a 1 gang outlet in the ceiling. I bought the 5 inch and it was just fine.

A:  Nope. Just plastic. I used adhesive to attach it since screws did not line up.
