A: Okie, my experience using this tool to do exactly what you are wanting do was very positive. It has the horsepower to get the job done with maybe a few bent up blades.
A: Yes it will cut the post with ease.
A: Make sure you get the wire blade.
A: I HAD TO DIG A HOLE AROUND THE PIPE TO GET THE SAW BELOW GROUND LEVEL THEN IT WORKED GREAT
A: I think so. I used it to cut my toilet drain pipe flush with my concrete floor. It’s got lots of power and can handle the cuts with the right blade.
A: 12 amps which is about 1500 watts at 120v so about as much as a teenage girl's hairdryer.
A: Specification for DWE305 is 1350 W (in some fern language)
A: 120 volts x 12 amps = 1440 Watts
A: It draws 12 amps, not sure about wattage.
A: P = I x V 1320 watts = 12 amps x 110 volts
A: The box reads "Made in the USA with Global Materials"
A: Literature says: "Made in the USA with Global Materials"
A: assembled in the USA
A: USA!!
A: The DeWalt 12 Amp Reciprocating Saw is made in Mexico.
A: $99.00
A: The prize is getting to own a nice saw! But this is a prize you have to pay for. As far as the PRICE you have to pay, it depends on what the store sells it for. Check your local Home Depot or HomeDepot.com.
A: Check your local Home Depot and other stores' prices.
A: Check with you local Home Depot as well as other hardware stores.
A: I think you meant 'price'. It varies by the current promotions. I paid about $90USD
A: This tool cruised through hard, dried out, 2 x 6, 40 year old pressure treated wood and cut fresh 2 x 6 like butter
A: Yes. However, it is not a precision tool. A miter saw would be the appropriate tool. I've cut up 6 x 6 treated posts with mine using a 10 inch blade.
A: Yes, this can cut through 2" x 4" pine lumber.
A: yes it will cut 2x4
A: Yes, use the right blade and it will cut through 2x4 easy. I use a metal blade and cut metal, a tree blade to cut tree limbs up to 6 inches in diamter...etc. That said, it is a rough cut and is not perfectly straight. This is a tool for rough jobs, not accurate cuts.
A: plug in
A: Plug-in.

A: Plug In
A: This model is corded, but I noticed in the store there are battery operated models now.
A: DEWALT 12-Amp Corded Reciprocating Saw 4.7 out of 5
A: plug-in
A: The 12 Amp Reciprocating Saw is a corded power tool.
A: Is this a serious question? You can see the cord in the photos. It even tells you the length of the cord. Did you bother to read the description at all?
A: is this a battery and will my dewalt 18 volt battry power it?
A: This can use 120 or 240 V.
A: 110
A: 110 V, since it draws 12 A; a 15 A max circuit is enough as long as other stuff is not on the same breaker. I never had a problem with breaker tripping.
A: It is rated at 110v 60 hz, 12 amp. 220v will destroy the tool.
A: 110v only
A: Yes, the 12 Amp Reciprocating Saw (AC Only) will work with at 4000 Watt generator.
A: yes
A: Should be no trouble. 12 amps x 120 volts is only 1440 Watts. You may have to unplug the beer cooler during heavy use.
A: yes. should have no problem
A: P = I x V 1320 watts = 12 amps x 110 volts
A: I find the flush position useful it will still be an 1/2 inch from the floor with a 6" blade
A: Yes, to a degree. In the manual (https://servicenet.dewalt.com/documents/English/Instruction/Manual/N443227,DW303.pdf) it shows you how close the blade operator is to the work surface. The blade still has to flex to get down to work right at a corner, otherwise it actually runs about 1/2" offset from the wall/floor parallel to the 'top' of the tool.
A: It useful I put it really tight to some electrical work and it stayed put
A: There isn't a flush cut blade position with this tool. I've used a six inch blade & bent it to do flush cuts on wood & metal poles. This tool has plenty of horsepower & I've really abused mine without a problem.
A: flush cut is great
A: there are all kinds of blades depending on what you are cutting,, wood, metal, rough cut, fine cut, and most blades are universal from one brand to the next,
A: I Used Diablo 8/14 TPI # DS0914BGP5 9" General Purpose Blade Can Cut Wood & Also Steel But You Can Check Other Diablo Blades Remember The Gap Of The Blade Teeth Makes The Different if you like very smooth cut try 1" less blade teeth gap ok
A: any standard "saw sawl" blades should fit. wood, metal, all purpose
A: Long, medium, and short, for Hard Metal (bars), Soft Metal (extrusions and sheets), Wood, Plastics. A wide variety is out there.
A: No blades come with this particular saw. As for purchasing blades, there are plenty out there ranging from multiple brands/companies. DEWALT has there own brand (good quality) and there are other brand names that will meet your cutting needs.
A: There are many different blade types from a variety of manufacturers. Sawzall blades are fairly universal. I have had good luck with the Diablo brand for both tree blades, standard wood, and also steel.
