A:  The prize is getting to own a nice saw! But this is a prize you have to pay for. As far as the PRICE you have to pay, it depends on what the store sells it for. Check your local Home Depot or HomeDepot.com.

A:  This tool cruised through hard, dried out, 2 x 6, 40 year old pressure treated wood and cut fresh 2 x 6 like butter

                                by|May 4, 2023

A:  Yes. However, it is not a precision tool. A miter saw would be the appropriate tool. I've cut up 6 x 6 treated posts with mine using a 10 inch blade.

                                    by|May 5, 2023

A:  Yes, use the right blade and it will cut through 2x4 easy. I use a metal blade and cut metal, a tree blade to cut tree limbs up to 6 inches in diamter...etc. That said, it is a rough cut and is not perfectly straight. This is a tool for rough jobs, not accurate cuts.

In the manual (https://servicenet.dewalt.com/documents/English/Instruction/Manual/N443227,DW303.pdf) it shows you how close the blade operator is to the work surface. The blade still has to flex to get down to work right at a corner, otherwise it actually runs about 1/2" offset from the wall/floor parallel to the 'top' of the tool.
