        Answer This Question

A:  Mike - The pressure switch does come preset to 30/50. However, you can definitely change that to 40/60. Simply take off the cap to the pressure switch and inside are instructions. Remember that CW means clockwise. -GP Support

Q:Replaced broken pipe and pump. How do I get the air out of the lines
          by|Jan 21, 2024

          Answer This Question

A:  Rhonda - I'm not sure of your question. If you mean the line that goes down the well, there should be a foot valve at the bottom of the well that keeps a prime. If you mean the pipes in your house, you may want to call a plumber. You may have to keep water running for awhile to get all air out, but we ask that you contact a professional as they would have better advice on what you should do. -GP Support

A:  We do not have one. We do have a Booster pump which does the same thing and that does not require a pressure tank and does not have pressure switch. The model is WPS07505PCK. -GP Support

Q:what's the best pressure in a pressure tank for this pump. I have a 3/4HP pump and it turns on and off very frequently, every 8 seconds approx.

                    Answer This Question

A:  You want the initial pressure in the pressure tank to be about 2 psi less than the cut-in pressure of the pressure switch. For a pump with a 30 psi cut-in pressure the tank should be 28 psi.

A:  Guillermo - The pump comes preset to 30/50 PSI. If the pump is turning on very frequenly, you probably need a bigger pressure tank. Most houses start at a 20 gallon pressure tank but on average, alot do go with a 50 gallon or larger pressure tank. -GP Support
