Q:Is this considered a "plug-on neutral" panel?
by|Jun 3, 2021
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: No. This has a standard neutral bar where all your neutral connections are made. "Plug-on neutral "panels have a special neutral bar that the breakers attach to when they are inserted and then all your neutral connections (wires) are connected directly to the breaker, along with the typical hot 'load' wire(s). They clean up the cabling a bit, and reduce connections when using GFCI and AFCI breakers (since no breaker pigtails are used).

Q:Can this be installed upside down? I understand the Breakers are side to side but the door opening downwards makes me hesitant.

Answer This Question
A: No. It is NEMA 3R and designed to shed water from top down. Installing upside down in a wet location will certainly cause water damage.

Q:I need this panel with the main breaker on the top as shown and feed thru lugs on the bottom of the bus bars. Is that how this panel is set up ??? The picture didn't help in the question and answer section at all and for some reason nobody feels it's necessary to take and post pictures of the guts. That's the most important info we electricians need when buying your products !!!! If someone could answer this question from Home Depot with some certainty it would be appreciated.
