A: The MIR-ITFS is an infrared remote control whereas the Pico is a radio frequency remote control. The MIR-ITFS is used with Lutron's Maestro IR series of dimmers, which are now obsolete. The Pico remote is used with Lutron's RF series of devices, such as Caseta.

Answer This Question
A: The Pico remote does not directly control a lighting load. It would need to be paired with a wireless device that is installed in a standard wallbox, such as a Caseta dimmer/switch. For a recommendation on which device, please reach out to our Support Team at support@Lutron.com or by phone at 1 (844) 588-7661.

A: The answer is Yes. I used it to control a light in my son's room from my room without any problem. The distance in my situation is about 40 to 50 feet. In addition, you could also use the app on your phone to control the light, too. I love it!

Q:Can I use this for Lutron Caseta Wireless PD-6ANS-WH Non-Dimmable switch

Answer This Question
A: Yes I believe this works with all cadets switches
by|May 5, 2023
A: While it could work for the PD-6ANS, the raise/lower buttons will have no functionality. For pairing with the PD-6ANS, Lutron would suggest using the PJ2-2B-GWH-L01 which will look virtually identical to the master control.

A: All you would need to accomplish all three of these features would be this Pico remote and a compatible Lutron RF dimmer. An example of a dimmer that would work for this application would be the PD-6WCL-WH.

A: If you are looking for an in-wall dimmer for the pico to control, Lutron's standard recommendation would be the PD-6WCL-WH.

A: Sounds like you are looking for the optional wall plate mounting bracket. The Pico snaps into it and you can still revert to handheld use in the future. It's about $7. Model# PICO-WBX-ADAPT. Or are you asking about Caseta switches and dimmers? There are a variety of them.
