A:  This pressure switch has 4 ports.

      by|May 5, 2023

A:  Yes, 4 ports. Mine was installed with 1st to the tank, 2nd to the gauge, 3rd to the pressure relief, and the 4th was capped because I have a 60gal tank with a large outlet on the side of the tank.

A:  Clip it close to the existing, or look for set screw on old switch and remove the old fitting, it is a push on fitting with locking jaws. Be sure to round the hose when pushing back in.

A:  There is a collar on the fitting where the tub is inserted, push the tube into the fitting, then press the collar into the fitting, and the tube should release. Hopefully someone didn’t add glue when the installed it last time.

Q:I have installed two of these, both are doing the same thing, once the pressure builds up to 135, it shuts off and exhaust a stream of air out, until it reaches 95 PSI. Then it kicks back on! How do you prevent this from happening? could it be a have purchased two defective units in a Row????

            Answer This Question

A:  I had the same problem my original switch the problem was a bad check valve on the tank it was leaking once the pressure is up to cut out the switch just releases the pressure between it and the pump should be just short blast

            by|Nov 6, 2020

A:  The issue is not a defective pressure switch, the issue is the one way check vlv that holds the air in the tank on your air compressor. When the air compressor builds up to the kick out pressure & shuts off, air should come out of the bleeder vlv on the pressure switch for a few seconds & then stop draining. This is relieving the head pressure off of the pump. The one way check vlv in the top of the tank (or in the manifold asy, depending on the style) should hold the air in the tank. Since your unit is draining down to the kick in pressure, that indicates an issue with the check vlv. Pls feel free to contact us at 888 895 4549 if you have further questions.

            by|May 4, 2023

A:  Your switch is not the defective part. Your tank has a check valve, and that check valve is leaking the pressure out of the tank. The check valve keeps pressure in the tank, and you switch unloads the pressure in the pipe between the pump and said check valve, so when it restarts, the pump can spin up to speed more easily.

              Answer This Question

A:  May take a little re-piping but its pretty universal

              by|Apr 7, 2017

A:  Unfortunately we are not familiar with the Central Pneumatic compressor. The 034-0226RP kicks in at 105 psi & kicks out at 135 psi The FLA Rating is 26A - 240V, LRA rating is 156A-240V. If the specifications are the same as the pressure switch on your model, it should work as a replacement.

A:  STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPRESSOR! RISK OF FIRE/iNJURY/DEATH In all seriousness, if you are mot confident doing the wiring, you shouldn’t be doing it. There are risks and hazards associated with incorrectly instead wiring.

A:  I didn't have instructions that detailed. Take pictures mark your wires correspondingly, it's not that difficult. Oh yeah unplug it first or disconnect the power (DUH)

A:  The markings on this pressure switch are LINE (incoming power) and MOTOR, (interconnect cord from the motor to the switch). This switch does not have a positive or negative. Your incoming power attaches to the TOP connections marked LINE, the interconnect cord from the motor connects to the BOTTOM connections marked MOTOR. Thank you.

A:  This switch is adjustable. They sell different pressure rated switches, so they may have one that matches your pressures exactly right out of the box.

A:  As long as you equal or go below your max pressure then you should be okay. I also believe you can adjust the max pressure. similar to a water pump pressure switch.

A:  My compressor is a 2005 Husky, and uses a black plastic tube to release head pressure when it shuts off. Most of the time the plastic tube and copper tube are different dimensions. You may need to a different switch, or switch your copper tube to the plastic tube (and of course the fitting on the othe rend of the tube.
