Q:The pictures don?t show the bottom of this piece. How does it attach to the 1/2 in poly tubing?

Answer This Question
A: You'll need to purchase a "T" to connect to your poly line (each end of the "T" should connect to your poly tubing - best to even put a compression band on each side that ensures this join remains permanently in place. Then you can screw the straight tail of the "T" into your distributor (and then connect your spaghetti tubings to your distributor)

Q:Can I use this without a pressure reducer? My house is 60 PSI. I do want plenty of flow to water large redwood trees.

Answer This Question
A: I use it without a pressure and on occasion it will blow a port. For the most part I have no issues and I rather have to plug a port and move the line to another port than dig a hole and mess with installing a pressure reducer. I’ve had issues with other 6 port heads but very few with this one.

Q:How does the manifold connect? Mine has 1 tee broken off so i need to replace it.

Answer This Question
A: The manifold screws onto 1/2" male threaded risers. It connects to 1/4" Drip tubing by snipping off the cap on each port and inserting the tubing onto the port.

Q:Are the barbs actually for 1/4" ID tubing, or for 3/16 tubing, like most "1/4" manifolds" use? I don't get why there's so much discrepancy out there.

Q:Can I unscrew the top of my existing Rainbird 1800 popup sprinkler heads and replace by screwing these on in it's place to convert to driplines? Then directly attach 1/4" emitter tubing? Presumably the popup already has built in pressure regulator I would leave in place. Thanks

Answer This Question
A: You need to purchase Rain Bird's RC-KIT, which includes a spray body with a pressure regulator, and an adapter that allows you to connect drip tubing. Most current pop-up sprinklers already installed most likely do not include a pressure regulator.

Q:Do these manifolds work with Spot-Spitters?
Or, are these too low of pressure and you need full sprinkler pressure for Spot Spitters?

Answer This Question
A: Not sure what a spot spitter is, but if you mean a dripper, then the answer is yes. These manifolds do work with drippers.

Q:What is the outlet pressure?

Answer This Question
A: This manifold is not pressure regulating. Pressure will reduce from your main line based upon how many outlets you are running off it.

A: Whatever your line pressure is, that you install it on, is the tubing pressure.
