Easier way to connect my water lines.

I’ve used these before and they work great. This one worked great as well. If you don’t like soldering or don’t have the time this is a great way to quickly make watertight connections. I recommend cleaning copper before attaching.

These work great, though they are a little expensive, though far less expensive than hiring a plumber. In using Shark Bites be sure to use the depth finder, i.e., a device that you put on the pipe to measure how deep the shark bite should be when property installed. Using that a person is sure that it is fully on.

I have used Shark Bite products several times over the past few years. They are particularly useful in hard to reach areas which would be difficult to handle with a torch and standard copper fittings without incurring the risk of starting a fire. The valves are especially useful, albeit a bit pricey, but avoid the heat degradation which may accompany a standard torch/solder installation. I have done both and prefer the assured success in the use of Shark Bite products. I still do the torch and solder method in the bulk of the cases, but Shark Bite products often provide a useful adjunct.

This was the first time I used Sharkbite as I had always sweated copper. It was very easy to use. I was nervous when I turned the main back on thinking it would leak. I was relieved when I came back to check for leaks and all was dried. I would definitely use again.

I really like those fittings. A little pricey but worth it to me. Not the best at sodering.

Sharkbite connectors are easier and faster to use when compared to pvc type glue connectors. Especially when reworking or adding to existing plumbing. Lines don't have to be dry, as with glued connections. And, there is no curing time. Jobs go quicker, with less interruptions.
