Planted Hummingbird & Butterfly seeds with Earth Science. What I really like is the little white beads that remind you water. Within 4 days I began to see the seedlings coming up.

I was pleasantly surprised with how many various, beautiful colorful flowers came up! And then numerous butterflies showed up…I put an inch of topsoil on the area I wanted the flowers. Spread the seeds on top, then placed a board on the seeds and stepped on it to submerge the seeds. Then I sprinkled another half inch of topsoil over the seeds and waited. Just amazed! I just planted another Autumn batch nearby waiting for Spring to see more pretty flowers!!

i planted the seeds in late winter in the ground for a few months I was losing hope but now its may and I'm very pleased all sorts of flowers bloomed and look gorgeous if your looking to fill up a space with flowers i would totally recommend this but be sour to keep in mind that in different states there's different cliemts so not all the flowers will bloom I live in South Carolina and I notest that the bachelor's button and zinnias did well and the bees and hummingbirds love my garden

I bought 4 bags of wildflower seeds. Threw them over a large area, watered and these beautiful flowers came up weeks later

First time buying this set. I would suggest planting in an area with full sunlight. I planted in several other areas and they all grew at a different rate because of the shade at different parts of the day. Seeding was successful as long as theres good soil. I would also suggest to space the seeds out. I actually didn't do that. I sprinkled the seeds too close together and just drizzle soil on top of it rather than raking them and spreading them farther that's why you see them too bunched together. Trial and error but overall was a success.

Coated seeds prevent the birds from digging them up and eating the seeds. We used 6 oz. in two 1 foot by 3 foot beds and this was not dense enough to get many plants. Also, it is necessary to soak the ground in order for the seeds to get wet enough to germinate inside their coating. The growth in the two different areas show in the pictures shows the result. I didn't see any sprouting in the 2nd area until I started soaking the soil (standing water) for 5 days. It looks like about, after 3 weeks, 50% of the seeds sprouted. More may sprout later. Bottom line, you need to use a lot of seeds to get a good return and apply lots of water. I can't tell what the flowers will look like since it will take a couple of months for enough growth for that to happen, which is normal.

Wow, I started these seeds in my greenhouse to give them as much of a head start a possible. Germination started DAY 2 after just brushing the pellets intro the upper layer of potting soil. Almost 3 weeks now and they are the 2nd tallest pants in the greenhouse, peas were planted a touch sooner. It's nearly June and the hummingbirds are back in the mountains so I hope to have these outside and blooming for the hungry beasts in a week or so.

It has been about two weeks and I think we have germination of the Earth Science Butterfly and Hummingbird Wild Flower mix starting for the last few days. It's hard to tell since we have a lot of weeds in the area that I am hoping to choke out with the wildflowers. We have only had two warm days so far with the rest cool and damp with frequent rain so that is making it tough to get new seed going. I only did a test patch since it is so early in the season but I am encouraged by the progress so far and looking forward to good growth as warmer weather starts in the next two weeks. The test patches will help me decide which Earth Science Wild Flower mix to use in different rocky or rough areas around the property.

The package contains “soil improvers”, fertilizer (nitrogen only) and over 5,000 seeds. This pouch also contains “WATER RIGHT™“ crystals, which is an indicator to prevent over or under watering. I can only trust that these crystals are working, as I see no evidence of it. The seeds sprouted quickly. With so many seeds, it’s impossible to know the germination rate – but who cares? I got a lot of plants coming up. It will be fun to see what blooms, and what the hummers and butterflies think of them.

This Earth Science Butterfly and Hummingbird mix contains 16 different varieties of wild flower seeds as well as plant food and soil conditioners all in the form of pellets. How much easier can it be? This mix contains over 5000 seeds! I prepared our planting area as directed, sprinkled the pellets about, raked a bit and watered them in. I think the key is to make certain the area is keep moist enough for germination. Looking forward to seeing them sprout and eventually keeping the butterflies and hummingbirds happy!

EARTH SCIENCE 2 lbs. Butterfly and Hummingbird All-In-One Wildflower Mix with Seed, Plant Food and Soil Conditioners. The mix contains 1.24% mixture of 16 different wildflower seeds. The flower mix contains both annuals and perennial varieties for continuous blooms. The mixture is a blend known to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. The remainder of the mix, 98% is inert matter, fertilizer, and polymer. I assume the polymer is used to indicate moisture in the soil. It will glow when there is sufficient moisture and stop glowing when the polymer dries out. Looking into the bag, it is difficult to see the small amount of flower seed in the mix. The inert ingredients are large in comparison. I started the seed in in garden soil and watered twice daily to see how long it would take to germinate. After three days of watering, I started to see very small signs of life widespread throughout the four-square foot planting. I am sure it will take many more days or weeks before I see any flowers.

The Earth Science Butterfly and Hummingbird Wild Flower is perfect! The product is easily applied and has a mix of both annuals and perennials to enjoy for the future. It covers 200 square feet per bag which is the exact amount needed for each bed section I am planting. It is nice that the seed includes fertilizer which makes for a very easy and care free planting. Just rough up the soil. Spread out the seeds and water. I will enjoy the flowers for years going forward.

I have a good sized area between my grass and the street where I put all the ground up leaves from my yard. I raked back to bare soil a portion of this and then roughed up the top 1/2" of soil. The nice thing about this mix is that the seeds have been encased in a little ball of fertilizer / moisture holding material. You don't need to worry about them blowing away when you spread them because they have a little weight to them. We all should carve out a little section in our yards for wildflowers to help make up for all that has been lost from developments.

This is a great idea. Unfortunately - most of the seeds never germinate so it's mostly fertilizer for weeds. Save your $ and try buying established plants.

No growth yet. Sufficiently watered

Haven't seen any sprouting yet. It does come with it's own fertilizer and it's easy to spread. But, since it's been 2 weeks and nothing, I'm only going to give it 2 stars.

I did not see anything grow at all.

Prepared the soil early in the Spring and sowed these seeds then lightly raked. Started seeing sprouts within a week and half. They have been blooming all summer and seem very hearty. We have had some terrible wind and hail this year but they are still standing tall and producing vibrant flowers for the pollinators.

I got nothing to show for spreading all the seeds that I spread a couple of weeks ago. Really disappointed, I don't know what this stuff does but it certainly does not produce flowers
