It was easy to cut to size and I was able to finish covering a small hallway in a few hours. I don’t think this is going to be super super durable but it was a great solution for the price

The black tiles keep peeling up for some reason, got these 12 years ago and had no problem for 11 years, these ones seem to me like they are made differently because the other ones didn't peel in the corners and looked like they had a little texture to them and were not as rigid as the ones now and I believe that's way they are peeling in the corners now and didn't before

The only reason I gave this 4 stars is you have to buy by the box. So now I have plenty of extra when I really didn’t need so much.

Easy to install, affordable, and looks great. It's only been about 2 weeks since install but so far it seems like it stuck great. I was worried the crunching sound when you walk on it would stick around but after a few days when the adhesive fully sets it goes away.

First time floor layer and it was a breeze. Did this in 4 hours! Love it. Will buy for my next shop

We absolutely love our black and white tiles....looks like our kitchen is Retro!! Easy to install we even did the hallway and kitty area. We have gotten so many compliments.

Everything i wanted and expected

Two adjacent tiles cracked - no known cause. Limited use and only installed for a couple of weeks.

The product is amazingly easy to install. It is not the installation that warranted the 2 star review. After the first 2 boxes I had to order 2 more, one to complete a box of 45 for return. The store would not accept 43 for return. Yes out of 2 boxes I only had 47 that I would be willing to put on my floor. Ordered 2 more boxes with the failure rate of the first 2 I wanted to be sure. Box 1 was much better than the others, box 2 the whole box! It appears to have factory manufacturing marks everywhere. The tiles are glossy black and the marks are a foggy white. I am attempting to clean off as much as possible and use the worst for the edging that would be cut off. The pictures are poor but you can see the foggy. These are supposed to be shiny black. I don't care if you are installing on a garage, utility room, laundry room or kitchen floor, you would not install what is shown in the pictures below.

Very happy with this product. I bought both the black and white tiles for the vintage look. Must better than expected. Thought it was going to be thinner and less sturdier, but quite the opposite. The adhesive is amazing, but forgiving. Just make sure you place it how you want it before setting it. Once it's set, it's a chore pulling it off. I also handled it by holding onto the edges with the palm of my hands, not the fingers; or as instructed by pulling off part of the protective sheet then pulling off the rest of it once you've put it in place. It was more time-consuming than I thought, but only because I chose to lay the black/white tiles in the diamond pattern. However, it was easy cutting the extra pieces by simply scoring with a utility knife and breaking it off. Final results were great. Also read that black/white shows up dirt more than usual, but have had mine up a week, and it's not any more than normal. It's also easy to clean with a damp microfiber mop. Thank you.

Beautiful tile. Worked easily. We used glye to help stick as it was in an enclosed trailer and on a ramp that woulf gave items rolled up and down frequently

I bought this for my small bathroom floor, but ended up using it in ny laundry/mudroom. Easy to lay. Easy to cut. I used scissors instead of a box cutter. Tiles weren't dirty as I've heard about other adhesive floor tiles. I bought 2 boxes and would buy again if I have another place to use them.

My kitchen floor had black/white checkerboard linoleum tiles from over 20 years ago. I contacted Armstrong and they said I could purchase the tiles through Home Depot on line. I got them quickly, they are reasonably priced, and last week I re-did my kitchen floor and it looks really great!

I also purchased the tile in white and the adhesive was markedly different, the white being much sticker and harder to work with. The excessive adhesive squeezed out between the tiles and took over 10 hours to clean on a 12x15 floor. The corners of the film on many of the tiles, both black and white, has peeled back, some immediately after installation. This is not the corner of the tile, it is the film surface. The black tiles tend to crack when flexed. Armstrong's remedy was to contact Home Depot, which refunded my purchase price. This is minor compared to the cost of removing and replacing the tile.

I used to Black and White Tile. We put it in the game room downstairs and it's been down two weeks. It makes the room look great. I only wish they would sell it in the stores you have to order it online but it arrived when it was promised and in good condition.

Loved the white; however, each tile had black scuff marks on them, but i easily got them off with rubbing alochol and cotton swabs! Not sure what made me try alcholo2, but IT WORKED!

I bought an adhesive to use and im glad i did because the backing wasn't very sticky. I love the shiny look and thick texture.

Other than having some damage to a few of the tiles during shipping we are very happy with it.It's easy to install and more durable then expected

Quality is excellent, packed in a box size I can lift. I am so glad this vintage classic comes in black and white. I am using it in a vintage Airstream. It's perfect !

Easy to lay and easy to reposition. I ordered the black and while it's forgiving in some senses, such as against the wall (small gaps don't really show), there is a whiteness that shows in the space between the tiles that is not what I expected. It's not bad, but it breaks up the continuous black look to my eye. I ended up cutting these with very sharp scissors (very tedious) because I could not find a tile cutter that made accurate cuts and the floor I laid it on required more than 40 custom cuts. Fortunately, I was able to do it with scissors, but this extended the time of the project from a day to about 3 days. I would recommend laying the center whole tiles first and letting them "rest" for a day for the tiles to relax -- you'll get a more accurate measurement for any perimeter tiles. My major complaint about the tiles is that it SCRATCHES EASILY. I put mine on a kitchen floor, and I was shocked that just the process of installing the tiles in my "inside shoes" resulted in deep scratches and gouges that required that I replace about 7 tiles after I was done. The floor has been down for 2 weeks now and I am noticing several more tiles that are heavily scratched and probably should be replaced but I will hold off for a while. Good thing I ordered more than I needed. The other issue with the floor that might only be apparent if you go with all black tiles is that the static on the vinyl really holds on to light-colored dust and dirt. It really shows. I mean, a white floor is going to show dirt, too, but I think we all approach a black floor thinking, "oh, the dirt won't show". Well, it does, it's just a different kind of dirt! The good thing with this floor is that as time as gone on (a couple weeks) it is attracting less dirt and dust because the floor is less static-y, and just a quick swipe with a broom gets it up very easily. Overall, the effect of a shiny black kitchen floor is gorgeous, though, and I'm glad I took a chance on it. One only other issue I have is the way the tiles were delivered: the delivery service dropped them off attached by heavy-duty plastic wrap on a giant wooden pallet. They left the pallet and now I have to get rid of it, which in my area, is not free -- our garbage service charges about $20 to haul it away. It's these hidden costs that turn an economical DIY project into a more expensive endeavor. I recommend that the delivery service offer to take their pallet back with them as part of the delivery cost.

This flooring looks excellent and my 14 year old daughter and her best friend did the entire floor by themselves. It took them about 4 hours. Very easy to work with

Could have been a better adhesive but all in all a great look and easy to install. Good value!

We used these tiles to line kitchen cabinets, drawers and under sinks. We found the best way to cut the files was to scribe them with a utility knife 3 to 4 times and the snap them at the line. Heavy scissors were used to trim corners to make a better fit. We've used these in the past on heavy wear areas like the laundry room and under sinks. This is the first time for all cabinets and drawers and we really like the results.

We decided to do our black and white floor on a diagonal/diamond pattern. My husband installed it in 2 days, lots of cutting in but worth it. It looks absolutely beautiful against the white wainscot and woodwork and red walls! Very pleased with the quality.

I installed the peal and stick tile in my shop last week. It looks great and iam very happy with the product and the friendly service that i recieved when i came to the store to buy the product.they were very helpfull in ordering just what i wanted and it was here within a weeks time frame.i picked it up and it was so easy they had it on a dolly ready to load when i picked it up. They were very nice and i will be back if i need more thanks home depot for a great experinece. Ron l

We had it put in a public space by amateurs, and the end result looked amazing. It doesn't even show the seams, and alternating with the white squares, it gives a professional look!

This is a really great product, and it has totally transformed our dining room. We used these white tiles, along with the black version to create stripes instead of checkers. They were so easy to use, especially because the wooden floor we put them on already had some glue leftover from the layer we ripped off. Trimming them was easy with a utility knife. For our first "putting down a new floor" experience, it couldn't have been easier. The only complaint is that because the tiles were shipped to our house, the top tile had a corner that broke off. But we just used that tile for a piece that had to be cut. Otherwise, amazing product, and we'll probably continue the same pattern into our kitchen because of low price and ease of use!
