The box was torn apart and tape shot jammed in between other maintenance. When I got at home? I really didn't look at it, but I emptied the box and the box was destroyed when I found out it was used and some one must have returned it and have taken it apart and 1 of the mounting brackets for the rod. Was bent. I am very disappointed.

Product shows obvious used signs. Its a good product and I don’t mind is being used, but i didn’t want to pay new price. There was concrete block dust and scratches where the weights go and grass stains on the tines.

Had to add lots of weight and strap down. If you dont strap the pavers, they will bounce off. Did the trick for 5 acres.

This was easy to assemble. If there is a rock under the grass the tines bend. It worked great when you go in a straight line, but as soon as you turn to go the other direction the end panels collapsed.

Works great , but the frame is lite so I put the times on my yarn grader for weight

Purchased a month ago, easy to assemble, easy to attach to ZTR mower. Used it for our almost 2 acre yard, and found the end caps had bent. Made the pictured modification, and works great!

I decided that it was time to start aeration on my lawn. I always use a de thacher in the spring but a landscaper came to look at doing some work and recommend aeration as well. This unit was fairly simple to assemble. Instructions were clear. I found the hardware fine. Once assembled, its very easy to move around prior to adding weight. Definitely wear protective gloves while assembling tines,they are sharp. I added2 standard concrete building blocks and hitched up to my tractor. Drove slowly and let it do its job.

Aerator works as advertised. I live near the coast so my soil is somewhat sandy. I fabricated fold up wheels that work really well. I just remove the wing nuts and wells fold back. Tip; wait until after it rains a lot. The spikes didn’t penetrate as I hoped until after it rained.

I am looking forward to getting more experienced with my new lawn equipment in the coming years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this lawn aireator must say it is easy to assemble. Made good and Saturday material. The spikes well and thick. You can add 8inch block on top for more weight for harder ground. Tried on my lawn and must say it did a great job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brinly 40' Spike Aerator,has been a great tool for my lawn.It hitches to the back of my rider mower and it provides my lawn with essential air ,an nutrients it needs to stay healthy and promotes long lasting beautiful grass.The Brinly Aerator is easy to attach and it has galvanized steel time stars that resist rust and penetrate the soil up to 2in deep.Thats essential for a beautiful lawn,it has a steel tray for added weight to achieve the max level of penetration of the soil. I like that I can choose how deep I want to aerate my lawn. I recommend Brinly Aerator a must have for a little awn that will get noticed.

Received this a couple weeks ago. Finally had the time to put it together which turned out to be quite the project. When they say the blades are sharp believe them. Now that it is up and running I haven't had time to use it.

It’s not very robust, but it does the job

It says it can handle 100 lb of counterweight but it cannot. It will not pull behind a normal mower because of its size. Its too small.

I have only used this one time on my lawn so far. It seems to work as intended. I put two cement blocks on it for better penetration into the soil. I may add a third the next time I use it.

My only issue with this unit was some of the Hardware (nuts and bolts) were not quite what was needed for a safe and solid assembly. I have been a mechanic for a LOT of years and know how to use tools and assemble mechanical items. The "nuts and bolts" provided for the "tow arm" were JUST too short and the castellated nuts did not hold as expected. 1/4" longer bolts and new nuts cured the issue. Other than that this is a really nice device and I would buy another if needed. It suited my needs VERY well. 150# of weight is JUST right for my soil and the "transport wheels" work well, as well to keep the spikes off of paved areas around my acre of yard area.

Bought this a week ago. Very EZ to put together . All the parts were there and took about 20 minutes.

I have used my new aerator a few times and it has tremendously helped my lawn. I can tell my lawn is much healthier. The aerator is well constructed and should last for many years!

Happy with delivery and can service. The built is not for long exposure to weather.

Purchased this and am very pleased. I used this recently before overseeding my lawn and I’ve noticed great results from incorporating this tool. Install and directions were assertive and clear. The parts are made of quality and it’s reasonably priced vs generic brands. Would recommend for sure.

Out of the box the 40" aerator was easy to assemble, the parts are all of good quality, and sturdy. I've used my new aerator a few times now with four concrete cap blocks as weight for maximum soil penetration to prepare my tired compacted soil for seeding and fertilizer this spring. The aerator weight tray has ample holes for tie down rope or straps to keep the blocks from shifting on bumpy or sloped ground. I really like the 3D tines, they seem to hold up very well so far, as opposed to just flat stamped tines on my previous aerator. I'm getting good deep penetration to help loosen the soil, without having those plug type soil sausages laying everywhere after using. The advantage of this aerator is it's big enough to get the job done , but not so big storage is a issue. And I feel I can use this more times throughout the year without making my yard look like a mess (plug types) to help water and nutrients keep my grass at it's best.

The most awesome aerator purchase I could have ever made. I even used it on my neighbors yard. My yard is definitely looking better because of the Brinly Aerator.

Easy to hook up and does the job but I have to remove the weights, disconnect it and carry it over my driveway and sidewalks.

Good overall, but the instructions were pretty vague and the lift bar would drop down when hitting a bump. Had to modify with a different longer bolt to fix that problem. Other than that it seems to do a pretty good job and is well built.
