Makes great waffles and super easy. Easy to clean and store too. The toughest part is making the batter thin enough to drain down to the bottom. We’ve used it three times and we are about there. After a few uses it helps to use a little oil to keep it from sticking

I've tried a lot of irons...this is the best so far. Not perfect..but will make great waffles. Every two waffles you need to spray some oil on it otherwise it will stick in places, resulting in waffles coming apart. If it were just this, i would give it a 4 star instead of 3. However. the maker can contain the waffle mix, but not the oil. it drips out onto the base making a mess. I can deal with it. I sent all the other makers back but kept this one. The adjustable heat is great, though i dont see any useful settings below 4.

Unique design but some flaws too. First the range of cooking times are way too low. Not much difference in overall brownness between setting 1-3. Setting 5 is still not enough time for cooking. Leaves waffle brown on outside but mushy inside. Having to leave waffle in for an extra cycle to achieve more firm waffle, or to then take waffle out and place in toaster oven for additional cook time. Second, if batter is slightly too thick, it gets stuck in the vertical throat, leaving gaps in the waffle underneath. A horizontal approach would eliminate this problem. If I had to do it over again I would take a horizontal waffle maker instead (perhaps the top rated Breville if it wasn’t so expensive).

Makes excellent waffles, clean up is easy, only problem is the pour cup that comes with it isn’t user friendly. The owners manual has some great recipes as a plus!

Perfect every time great design; my kids love it and much less mess.

When a whole waffle comes out complete, it’s a beautiful thing to behold. Delicious, filling, substantial. I’m a vegetarian seeking my own recipes that don’t use sugar, refined anything and are healthy to eat. Across the board, the batter has to be thin enough to pour continuously into the vertical load to fill it up and thick enough to turn out a good product. I’ve made a lot of messes and had a lot of pieces of waffle parts. The vertical idea is kewl! Wish there was hook for batter cup. Anything you want to add in has to be tiny or ground up before going into batter or you have back up at the entry point.

I love my waffle maker! The only thing is you can't use whole blueberries because they just get stuck and bottleneck at the top. Otherwise it's brilliant!

I am very happy with this waffle maker. It makes the perfect size waffle, and the unit is lightweight and easy to store. It would make a nice wedding gift.

This waffle maker is easy to use and clean. It makes great waffles. My grandkids get waffles every morning before school during my visit to their house. You do have to tweak the amount of batter put into the supplied scoop-sometimes too much and sometimes too little. However, a definite recommendation to purchase.

I don’t make waffles often, but my last maker lasted over 13 years before the nonstick coating started peeling off. This one is pretty cool, just be quick and consistent with pouring in batter. Make sure to go side to side as you pour so it doesn’t get clogged at the opening. Waffles come out gorgeous and tasty. My only drawback is I don’t feel confident at making pecan waffles with it.

If you want perfectly round waffles, this waffle maker is not for you. Every waffle I make always has a little "hat" on it from the batter rising up through the fill spout. However, this makes perfectly cooked waffles, and if that's what you want, this is your waffle maker. It does take a little skill to operate correctly, but, if you read the instructions, and pay careful attention when you pour, you should have perfect waffles on your second try. The first time I made waffles, I didn't know how much batter to use, so they were half-waffles. Ever since the first try, I've had perfect waffles.

Viscosity and amount of batter is a learning process, but overall unit is easy to use and gives excellent results.

It is easy to use and to clean. It evenly cooks the batter. I liked the recipes that came with the unit.

Even baking but the pouring down the spout can create an overflow situation despite using the measuring cup so you have a mess at that end of runny batter when the rest is done.

sorry but I always like the brand but this standup maker doesn't work for me at all wish I had ordered a regular one waffle just doesn't turn out right

Novel approach using vertical iron. I love that it takes up little space in the cupboard. Bakes evenly. It has taken some practice with different recipes. Those with high leaven seem to Ozzie out of the batter hole as they bake, so you need less than the full measuring cup of batter.

Vertical style is awesome. The mix fills all holes and it’s poured down.

Produced excellent Belgian waffles first time out. Easy to operate. Good value for the price.

It’s a great space saver, heats and cooks fast and is easy to clean. The measuring cup that comes with it is the perfect amount of batter to make full waffles and the suggested heat on the number 3 gives you a nice golden colored waffle. The only challenge to learn is how to infuse the batter into the vessel with fruit. Blueberrys work well. Overall I would definitely recommend this product.

Great waffle maker that’s easy to use. I’m still experimenting on getting the perfectly textured waffle so luckily there are five settings to suit your preference. This product is quality and easy to clean also - I would definitely purchase this as a gift for someone.

Works great! I was a little concerned given the vertical shape of the waffle maker but I find it easy to use, simple to clean, and it makes great waffles! Doesn't take up a lot of storage space in the cabinet either!

The Cuisinart Vertical Waffle Maker is amazing!! We initially used a store mix that did not work well. The recipes that accompanied the Waffle Maker are perfect and allow the waffles to come out light and fluffy. The best waffles I have ever tasted. Great product!

Actually, this was a replacement for my first vertical waffle maker. The first one was slightly defective, as the green ready/done light never came on. Not knowing whether the iron was hot or not, it either burned the waffles or bubbled out hot slop all over My replacement locks sturdier- no gaps for the batter to slip out; and the green light comes on when ready to make, goes off while cooking, and then comes on again when ready There are two reasons for not giving a 5-star rating: 1. There is no "filled-up" indicator: either I get 3/4 of a waffle, or a waffle with a fluffy handle. 2. There is no on/off switch- one must pull the plug out of the wall. THAT CAN BE DANGEROUS!

This is the best waffle maker I’ve ever bought. Easy to use and clean. Cooks very fast.
