I am happy with the tool, but I can't find a lot of attachments the drill press was purchased for. Out of stock on all accessories I need to use the tool for the job it was bought for.

Right out of the box, the table lift mechanism doesn't work. It requires more effort than humanly possible to raise/lower the table. There's no excuse for this.

This is well worth the money! Excellent quality and I love the work table. Nice and big plus the angular capabilities of working your project in different planes.

This drill it was easy to assemble and is a pleasure to use the light and the laser are excellent additions for my drill. The drill operates quietly and the speeds are easy to adjust.

Very nice and solid drill press. Easy to assemble bur you will need persons to get the head unit mounted. Worked smoothly and is at least powerful to do what I ask for.

If you need a drill press by this one.

used a cross vise and mortise and tenon jig to make some small chairs for the grandkids. Looking forward using it for other projects.

It was missing 1 metric set screw The mounting plate for the stop was quite crooked I machined it flat now it works as it should So far it works very well

High price, average quality. It is a heavy duty tool but the fit and finish is lacking. I had to contact Delta customer service to get a table replacement. Mine came gouged with uneven machining where you could feel the waves with your fingers. Also the chuck is low quality causing significant runout and that seems to be a very common complaint. I had to order a Grizzly G8583 keyless chuck.

Drill press arrived very fast and in good shape.

Very similar reaction to review below - drill press' power is good, speed adjustment is easy, light is a great addition, but...the fatal flaw is that the chuck had wobble right out of the box. I dealt with it for a long while as much of my work is not entirely precise, but when I finally needed to drill some larger holes in heavy steel it really became a problem. I cleaned the arbor, cleaned the chuck, and did some diagnostic work and determined the wobble was coming from the chuck itself, which didn't spin true on the arbor. The really discouraging part is that I called Delta as it was well within the 5-year warranty and was told the chuck is a wear item, and would not be covered. That it did it out of the box was just water under the bridge to them. Lesson learned, about warranties and about Delta. Not great for what's now a $1500 drill press. I would look elsewhere if I were to do it again, or at least buy somewhere where you can inspect the quill/chuck prior to purchase.

This is worth the extra money. I have had 2 Delta drill presses in their past that were lost to floods. I’m on higher ground now and spent the extra money and glad I did.

I don't have many miles on this yet, but so far I love it. The only warning I have -- it's heavy so, unless you're extremely strong, have a friend on hand to assemble it.

Impressive unit. Especially like the quick-acting micro-adjustable sliding depth stops. It’s not impossible that this unit could be used as a pin router. Could use a faster top spindle speed. Laser "cross hair" is somewhat flimsy and hard to accurately calibrate. Needs illumination from both sides. (Easy enough to add, I suppose.)

its really heavy. two big strong people working off of a platform would have been better. Both of us were to old to be doing this. also we’re over 6’ I still had to stand on a tool box to lift the cast iron part of the headstock.we will see if its worth the price. looks like it will last to pass

Delta continues to produce quality equipment at a competitive price.i feel that it’s a far better value than some of the new high tech versions of multi speed drill presses

Quality piece of machinery. Assembly instructions were concise.Went together exactly as it should.Very well made machine.

I researched and found that the Delta met and exceeded what I was looking for in a drill press. I have used it several times since I purchased it and it is the best drill press I have ever owned. It's a bargain for the quality that has been built into the drill. Ease of use is excellent as well. I recommend this drill press if your in the market for a drill press.

Overall the press is a solid build. The laser guide is useless. Per the instructions I've attempted to adjust. Adjustment is limited. Can not get perpendicular to work or a pin point mark for hole. Not critical for me. I can do without. The rest of drill is excellent. I was going to go with Jet. Glad i picked Delta.

This is one serious piece of equipment! Well-built and heavy-duty, it is even more than I expected. The work light and laser target are very handy. Assembly was very straightforward, but it should be noted that this is a very heavy piece of equipment that requires two people for part of the assembly process.

Very easy to assemble, had it running in 45 minutes from opening the box. No issues with the parts or condition. Some surface rust on a few of the parts, but came off easily. Needed help getting the head onto the post, rest of it was easy to assemble.
