Nice product for the price.

Quality took a nose dive. Bought 6 bags. I don’t know why there is a ton a dirt mixed with the salt. A product shouldn’t have to great more work for the consumer. I’m going to have to drain and remove all the dirt once depleted. I’ll move to another brand for sure.

delivery arrived but Noone let us know they were here. one bag was split and left salt in my lawn.

ordered 150 bags of salt for water conditioner. 6 bags were missing but were redelivered quickly after I called to notify HD. Have been using this salt for many years and HD had best price. Shipping is high though.

The pellets have little dark pieces of debris that make the system not function properly and a technician has to come out and remove the specs causing the blockage. Not only do we have to replace the salt but also pay for a service call. We've never had this problem before but it seems quality control is allowing too much debris in the product.

pellets seen with impurities (dirt/mud), which caused my salt reservoir to be "muddy". Before, the pellets were completely white, good pellet form. Quality of pellets is not the same as in the past.

As an ex-retired water softener dealer, I can say unequivably that Diamond Crystal Pellets is all I ever recommended and use at home myself. It's pre-washed and pressed into clean dissolving pure brine. It rarely if ever causes salt caking in the brine tank. It's simply the best!!!

I usually get this exact brand instore but decided to purchase it from Home Depot online. This cost effective Water Softener Salt works great in my ClearWater Systems and as good as the more expensive ones. It was delivered in front of my Garage as requested.

I can only guess what happened, but the last batch of 24 bags I purchased had unacceptable quality. It seems like pellets were made from a mix of salt and soil. Pellet's color has a strong brown hue. The photo is taken outdoor. A printer's paper sheet was used as a background to have the correct color balance. I like HomeDepot more than its competitors, but the absence of alternatives for softener's salt forces me to place orders for it with someone who carries Morton brand.

This is the second time filling up my water softener with 5 bags of 40lbs each of salt pellets. The water in the house comes out soft as expected. The dishwasher cleans better and no toilet rings. The only thing i notice is when the salt pellets are almost finish it leaves dirt in the water softener equipment, i don’t know if that is normal. Other than that it does its job.

Excellent product , great price

Quality lately has gone down on this item. Yellowish and more grains than pellets.

After years of using a water softener that could not use pellets, I am happy to be using these now. Much easier to handle, purer salt and appears to be much cleaner. After my first day of use, I can’t say I have noticed anything different about my water in the house, but that is good, I had excellent water before and still have it.

This is not a clean salt. Left a dirty foam in my salt water reservoir.

Works great!!! Diamond Crystal keeps my water filtration system working top notch for 5 years. Diamond Crystal has been my soften so my skin can smooth. This is important to me because I suffer from Lupus and I skin conditions. Thank you Diamond Crystal!

I buy usually about every 6 months for my water system. It works great and I prefer using this size vs smaller size salt rock. Last longer to me. Both however are great products soldnby The Home Depot Store.

Two years ago we added a Rain Soft whole house water softener / purification system to our home. The system works great and we will can't (won't) live without the feeling of clean, pure, soft water. The system requires a salt brine bath that is siphoned into the tanks holding the resin beds to periodically "regenerate" them. These salt pellets work well to serve this need. Great buy for good stuff!

Great price and product.

Salt works fine in our water softener. Bag Opens well with "Easy Open Bag" perforations. Three Star Rating because the HANDLE's are Not strong enough to hold a 40 lb. bag. Many handles tear off while carrying and Most handles Stretch to the point of nearly tearing off. (5 star for Product + 1 Star for Packaging = 3 Star rating)
