I'm in western Oregon and it rains a lot here fall through spring, so for keeping your basement dry a sump pump is absolutely essential. I chose this pump because it has a vertical float switch, which allows to fit into a smaller sump, it works well in my sump which is only 16" in diameter. Other float switches always get hung up and then don't work. This pump starts to pump at 6" water level and pumps down to 2". So far the pump has worked without missing a beat/pump.

If you depend on a sump to keep your house from flooding, it is important to make sure you can rely on it, and that it meets all your needs. This model is almost perfect for my situation, with a few caveats. I have outside window wells that are five feet deep and they flood, which then floods my basement. I put a sump in each well in a five gallon bucket under the gravel and so far it works pretty well. The features I need require that the sump be compact with a float switch that fits completely in the bucket. I prefer a full cast iron body so that if it does freeze, there is less of a chance it will break, this model does not have that, the lower body is plastic. Also, this model pulls the water in from the top, not the bottom, so it leaves the lower body in water at all times, so not exactly perfect, but probably fine for interior sumps where an extra inch of water and freezing is not a concern. But it does have the float switch wired into the unit and not a seperate plug, so that is also a plus as it makes for a much cleaner install with less cable to organize. It has a adapter for threaded pipe sizes, which also helps when installing. As long as the motor lasts for at least five years, I will consider this a bargin.

My 1/4 hp Flotec with floater switch failed after 20+ yrs of good service and replaced it with this 1/3 hp Eco Flow. Decided for the vertical switch to evade the accumulation of sediments that I noticed in the basement pipes that drain to the sump pump basin. Been using the new pump for several weeks with no issues at all. Easy to install, good power and moderate noise operation.

I use the Eco Flo Submersible pump with vertical float in a 5 gallon pail in my window well. I drilled a lot of 3/8" holes in the pail to let water in but keep out sediment. It rained hard and started filling the well and pail but the pump pump turned on before the water height reached the basement window. The vertical float works very good inside the 5 gallon pail.

Great pump. I installed it in my front yard due to low ground. It rained so hard last week that the water came over my drivewY into another part of my lawn. This would have taken at least a week of dry weather to dry out. The pump had it All out in 1 hour.

Thank you for your purchase and review. This is a professional series sump pump. The pump is cast iron to reduce heat which can lead to pump failure. This pump also only draws 6.5 amps and offers as continuous duty rated motor. This all helps in leading to a long pump life.

I have a small sump pit (21" H x 18" D) and this pump fits well and the vertical float only moves up and down to run the pump without needing extra surrounding spaces. The pump only needs about 7" deep water to start which is again suitable for shallow pit.

Guess the most important data point for a sump pump is the following - Pumps up to 3600 GPH with a maximum lift of 25 ft. Has a 10 foot cord attached to it. It will allow for up to 3/8 of an inch of material to pass through. Pretty quiet where you shouldn't really be able to hear it once it is installed and running. Runs off of 115 Volt PSC (permanent split capacitor) motor for lower energy use.

Thank you for your purchase. We try to give all of the specs on the box as every application can be a little bit different. I would say that the most important data point on a sump pump is what the customers application and performance needs are. We always put our customers first and can be reached at 844-883-1872 for any additional questions.

The 1/3 hp submersible sump pump was easy to install, since I was replacing an old on in my crawlspace. I just pulled the old one out of the hole, used the existing PVC piping and pluigged it in. I tested it and everything was fine. That night we had heavy rain and the pump kept up. It was also quiet , so I checked the next day to make sure it was still working and it was.

This is a good sump pump. For you DIYers, out there a sump pump project is not that hard to do, Maybe a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale. Home depot has all the parts and PVC pipe is easy to work with. All you need is some common sense and go online and watch a few videos then sit make a list and go to Home Depot to get all your supplies. Install time depending on your project can be as little as half hour to replace an old pump to a whole day to install a whole new system. This is a good pump at a great price that is built to last a long time....

This Eco-Flo 1/3 HP SUBMERSIBLE SUMP PUMP WITH VERTICAL SWITCH with a 3600 Gallons per hour flow, and a vertical switch fits well into an eleven inch basin, allowing a confined space to have a great flow rate for a small foot print. With an eight foot power cord, thermoplastic moulded casing, and such a small footprint, this makes for a very versatile sump pump.

This 1/3 Sump Pump is a fair inexpensive pump for temporary use or as backup to a main pump only. I find that this pumps capacity drops drastically the further your output is from the pit. I would use this pump for heads no more than 10 feet which you will get approx 38 gallons per minute. So do not expect to get 60 gallons per minute with an 1-1/2 output at 25' It's not going to even make more than 5 gallons per minute at that length. I like to use this pump as a light weight service pump to keep on my truck to clear out pits or even as a temporary short run install. This pumps current draw is 5.3 amps. So it works well with a battery backup system that has a dc to ac converter. I do not like the limited Warranty that states: This Limited Warranty does not cover repair when normal use has exhausted the life of a part or equipment. Which basically means that if this pump craps out within 12 months or less your on your own.

Sorry to hear your pump failed in a short period of time. We would like to discuss
your failure in more detail to determine the possible reason for the failure. Possible
voltage problem, something interfering with the float, or a check valve problem to name
        a few.
