Very satisfied. Feel good about the installation of my shingles with this on the deck. Like the nailing indicators. Also, was careful to get it on straight so I could use the lines to help me feel better about keeping my shingles straight.

It's only roofing paper
I guess it'll do what it's supposed to do, only time will tell. I basically brought this brand because it was the same brand as the shingles and I wanted to keep the products uniformed. I definitely would have brought the Grip Rite brand and save $25 per roll

Half the weight faster product to lay down
I had a very dad leak I tried the hot tar tried it with felt pulled up my shingles lay down tar and felt still had a leak so I pulled up the shingles again laid this felt buster down this stuff went down so much easier than the felt did I'll never use felt again let alone weighing a third of the weight of the tar felt it went down four times faster and staid we're it was laid no matter how windy it was and its already measured out to the square so if you need something cut all you have to do is count the squares and cut I mean it made a nasty 16 hour job into a 10 hour job and it was a lot faster and the guys did grip about bringing the felt up the ladder to the roof and sweating there butts off

Felt is better in many ways.
Imagine this synthetic underlayment after your composition shingles are nailed on. Peppered with holes and leaking like a sieve. If you are only half way up at quitting time and it rains that night the OSB will be soaked and will rot before it can dry through this plastic wrap. Tarpaper does a good job of sealing the nail holes and also holds any water until it can dry. That’s why it gets wrinkled overnight. Just let it dry before resuming the project.

Hello, synthetic underlayments provide better traction, tear resistance and a cooler working surface than typical asphalt felts. Regardless of the brand of synthetic underlayment or typical asphalt felt being used, it is NOT good roofing practice to depend upon a water-shedding layer, which does not have ASTM D1970-like self sealing capacity, to act as a dry-in layer or temporary roof. While we are sorry for any negative experience you may have encountered, we always strongly recommend these products, which are intended as a secondary layer of water shedding protection under the final roof covering, not be used as a dry-in layer exposed to the elements. Thank you. gaf
