The plastic insulation protects against damage to the wires I needed for my ring floodlight camera installation.

Worked as recommended for 10/3 wire.

Easy to use, extremely sharp so pull them out with care.

Easy to use, good protection, reasonable price.

Not a big fan of these, I like the nylon that is white in color with the smaller nails, I found these staples hard to use, in fact, I had a pre-drill holes just to hammer it into place

Gotta be accurate with the hammer, else the blue stuff goes kittywankis making it an uninsulated staple. Otherwise, it's just a normal romex staple.

I was in a pinch and needed to secure 8/3 romex in my basement at 21:45, I ran to my local store and grabbed what I thought would have been perfect... Boy, I wish I had time to read the reviews beforehand. I tried multiple ways of hammering these in, and out of 10 staples, 2 seated correctly. The others twisted and mangled so bad that I just left them as a placeholder until I can get a different style of cable. I wish I could return the unused portion, but it's really not worth the aggrivation.

A couple of plastic things came off

I tried to use the 1 1/2” x 1/2” staples with the red insulator because I needed to stack some cables. I’ve tried 7 of these so far with two different hammers and 2 different 2x4 studs…every single one bent out to the side when it was about 1/4” into the wood, rendering it useless and had to pull back out. Back to Home Depot to get something different.

Nice to have the insulator so it won't damage your wire.
