This fitting works as advertised when following the directions. The retainer clip pinches on with an adjustable wrench and do not use pipe dope or Teflon except on the pipe threads. Follow the directions.

I am a home diy guy, first time using the home flex csst system. I watched several YouTube videos and felt confident enough to try it myself. It is very important you don’t twist the two joints when tightening down the hose nut. Or it will cause the gasket to tear the o-ring and cause leaks. I made a couple of mistakes at first but got it down, pressure tested and no leaks. Saved myself tons of money instead of using a plumber.

There are many different systems for CSST. Home flex has a variety of connectors and adapters that are easy to install and they are dependable.

It worked fantastic! Very easy directions to follow. I now have my new 20 KW generator running and the spray soap test did not reveal any leaks!

This thing is garbage. First, half of the fittings in the store did not have all the components required to make the connection. Then, after 3 trips back to the store, we tightened the connects and this crappy split ring twisted into irreparable scrap.
