Tool cutting wheel is to loose allows the tool to walk around the pipe you could also add a reamer to the cutting tool

works good on 1/2" pipe but ratchet slips when trying to cut 1" pipe,

Bought this to help my kid to do her school project & my soon DIY projects. So easy to cut the pipe & cut it really clean.

Takes a long time to cut, but it’ll do.

In theory, this product would be great with the ratcheting feature. However, after one use the ratchet feature started slipping. it relies on a plastic part which can't stand up to the pressure. Better solutions are out there. Returned the tool.

Works great to cut copper pipes

The tool does the job and the ratching feature was exactly what I needed. 4 stars is because of its plastic material. If all metal then I would give it a 5. I recommend it for people who need this type of feature on a seldom needed basis and use a traditional cutter for production work I highly recommend it for limited field of use.

The ratcheting function operates poorly.

My husband loves this little tool. It came in very handy when he was changing our water heater and he needed to cut some copper pipes.

Works well, but the rachet seems to unlock randomly meaning it sometimes slips and you waste a turn or "crank". Other than that, having a handle made it easy to use. Cutting die is as expected as well. If it wasnt for the flimsy rachet mechanism, it would of veen a 5b star

I was super excited when I found this tool as I was fixing to work on some plumbing in tight situations. I used it for my project and by the end of the 'small' project (cutting 1" copper tubing), the plastic end that holds the spinner in place and helps ratchet was spreading apart and allowing the ratchet to slip. I was able to pinch it together with my hand to finish the work. For the price, I am satisfied, but disappointed by the potential that this thing could have had. I think if the end was designed with something besides plastic, it could be a much better tool!

It's tough to get in a wall with one hand and also screw it down tight enough to get the ratchet activated. If you cutting pipe outside of a wall or works well though

Tool is junk. Ratchet skips like crazy. The knob that closes the blade is made of plastic and broke after one use. The idea of this tool is a great but this tool specifically sucks. Do not buy this item. Waste of money and time.

Good so far could be better built but does the job

Worked very well! I had a bit of a tight spot and the ratchet really made it an easy and quick cut.
