Product was as expected and easy to install.

Our old Carbon Monoxide detector died, after many years of doing it's job. We purchased the Kidde Firex, as it replaced our older model. Great product, and does it's job.

the carbon monoxide detector was too difficult to open to install the battery, I returned it.

Put the back up battery in and it started beeping. The panel send end which indicates it’s expired. Checked the packaging for the detector and it said it expired Feb 2023. Yeah, 7 months ago! Returned it to HD. Bought a First Alert at another hardware store.

Nice detector. It is fairly large BUT it was designed where I still could use the plug above the inlet I put this detector in. That was really great because we have a light for the hallway also on this inlet plug.
