These screw hooks have become my "go to" hardware solution when wall hanging heavier objects like mirrors, larger pictures, etc. Some times I find the weight just exceeds anything 3M Command can handle and then the questions become: how big of a hole am I going to need to make and what will it take to repair that hole later on if I ever take this down? I like this solution because the double-headed design essentially creates a built-in hanger that I have found to work well with picture wire, keyholes, saw tooth hangers, and other hanging methods. The hole the screw hook creates in drywall is really small compared to any kind of a toggle bolt and later on it is a minor repair easily filled and patched with some drywall compound. The built in washer helps prevent any dimple in the wall surface and also lets you know when you can stop turning and have adequately tightened the screw. Knock on wood, I have never had one of these pull out or otherwise fail in any manner. I would like to point out it is important to read the directions... the weight bearing limit of this screw varies if you will be inserting it in just drywall vs into a stud vs concrete block, etc. My most recent purchase was to hang a large mirror over a dresser that weighed about 40 - 50 pounds and, of course, the location where the boss wanted it hung... not a single stud even close to where I needed one. Solution? I used to two equal length pieces of picture wire on the back of the mirror and inserted two of these screw hooks into the drywall about fourteen inches apart with each screw hook holding just one of the two pieces of picture wire. Each screw hook is rated thirty pounds in drywall, so using two hooks gave me sixty pounds capacity, safely over the actual weight of the mirror.
