A:  You answered the question with the first sentence, you don’t need anchors.

A:  I have used them successfully without anchors.

A:  There are a lot of different kinds of anchors. So probably any one that fits on the screw bit? This buy itself works better for me than the plastic anchors. They suck. I have metal studs so I'm unfortunately familiar. Currently I use these for coat hangers and 5 wall mounted flower pots without issue in regular drywall.

A:  Is this your first job ? it is just a screw / put it in a stud or use a toggle bolt for the ceiling .

A:  Hi, and thank you for your question. This product has not been tested on ceiling holding power. And its not intended for that type of weight load angle.

A:  Yes I use them on my plaster walls (house is from circa 1925) and they work great

A:  Hi Jackie, and thank you for your question. These could be used in plaster, but a small pilot hole should be pre-drilled whenever screwing into plaster. You may want to use a small piece of painters tape or masking tape in the area where the hole will be drilled to help prevent chipping of the plaster. The Ook Professional Hangers are an excellent alternative for plaster also.
