This unique is a 12 K Ice maker outlet box . you can either go right or left depending on how you need it hooked upIt is a solid Copper pipe systems Very easy to install hook up is very easy. If you love ice in your drinks and have a ice maker in your refrigerator then this is your hook up on great ice. We love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried this Oatey® I2K Icemaker Box and it was extremely easy to install and works exactly as expected. The kit comes with all the necessary hardware and simple instructions. The ice maker box has the option to be mounted to a stud on either the right or left side. I would definitely recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The I2K Ice maker box is amazing and it connects so easily. It has the Quarter turn brass ball valve that allows for easy on-off for the water supply, it also comes with a faceplate. This is a game-changer for us. The water supply can come in from the top of the box or at the bottom of the box! The box allows for the right or left side of the stud installation! We love to have Ice Tea on a hot summer day and with this, we now have plenty of ice! No more going and buying ice at the store I absolutely love this. I would recommend getting this if you need to hook up your icemaker.

The "I2K Icemaker Outlet Box 1/4 Turn" is an sturdy, good quality water supply isolation valve. It is easy to install, however I would not use sweat fittings at the valve because of the proximity to the plastic box. (threaded, compression or equal ok) Because of the valve design I see several potential leaks, therefore its most important that this installation be tested before the dry wall is installed. I have one installed in my kitchen refrigerator an it works great. I recommend it. I will install this one in the garage for my other refrigerator.

I'm remodeling my kitchen. Before, I ran a line from a small hole through the floor that connected to the cold water line to my refrigerator. So, I took the opportunity to install an outlet box as long as I was breaking into walls and redoing some plumbing. It installed fine and doesn't leak. I'm happy now that I'll be able to shut off the water to the refrigerator without having to go under the house.

This should come with a connection for the half inch threaded to a reducer of a quarter inch so that it can actually tie in to be saddle chat look through the whole store and there was no adapter to convert this. Threaded to quarter inch copper it’s useless without it.

Quick delivery, easy install. Included nails weren't a great option for me, better off screwing it.

This was perfect for my job!

Valve was installed for approx 4 years, tried to turn valve off and handle broke off... then tried to turn the stem with pliers and could not move it. Maybe if the valve had been exercised every few months it would not have froze but it's behind the refrigerator, who pulls their refrigerator out to exercise the ice maker valve?

It’s simply overpriced and the valve is to close to the outer wall to make a sharp bend without without linking the line or putting stress on the pressure connection to cause a drip leak.

Installed new unit into wall, sweat soldered connection, performed leak test. All solder connections were fine, valve itself wouldnt shutoff completely. Way more than an occasional drip. More like a steady dribble. I would strongly suggest that you buy two of these. You’re going to need the extra one for replacement parts.

Happy with this product and use it often without any trouble, my only input is that it would be nice to see this have an option as a remodel box for after rough in installation.
