Product could have been washed off plant before it had a chance to absorb the product. This product takes a minimum of 3 weeks to completely kill weeds. Temperatures below 60 degrees or above 90 degrees may cause weeds to be dormant. Drought stressed plants can not readily absorb the herbicide... water them first. When leaves are dry, apply product. Mowing 1-2 days before or after application reduces leaf surface and plant's ability to absorb the herbicide. Reapply 2-3 weeks after first application.
