The ridge is OK. It requires many more nails than suggested to hold it down. If you only use the recommended 24" or 16" spacing with rafters, then you will have an ugly, uneven, and non-uniform Ridge line. Not to mention the Ridge caps will look horrible. I had to buy 3 tab shingles to complete the job. The 8" ridge caps looked funny with 2 inches of plastic sticking out on both sides. I considered it but then after giving it a second look, I decided to go with the larger 3 tab shingle and then just cut the shingles individually. I have a 43' ridge so I used 2 vent sure rolls about 3 packs of shingles. I had the city come do the final inspection and so long as it's flat, they don't care. If they can stick a finger under that black vent, you will have to do the whole thing over. I would find a better product if I had to do it over. And being that I'm having solar panels installed, I think the contractors are going to ruin my ridge. They were sitting on the edge taking their measurements, and it's not meant for that.... So I might have to replace it but oh well, I'm not that fond of it anyway.

Was not the quality I expected. Owen's has too many products that are labeled and described the same, but the products are definitely different. This one seems cheap and flimsy, while labeled and packaged the same as the higher quality one.

Works for what I needed on my shed. Not the easiest install with sealant on both sides and trying to get aligned without making a mess. Does lay almost flat without nailing.

Perfect and just what I was looking for

As a licensed roofing contractor, I use this vent material all the time to install roof vents. This is the only way to do the job right.

Product was great though I wish the instructions would explain how to cut it to size.

This stuff is complete garbage. I replaced my old aluminum ridge vents with this stuff. I never had any moisture in my attic until I installed this. It doesn't flow much air. Not even close to as much air as my old ones flowed. I now have to rip them off and install different ridge vents.

The vent is excellent. The reason I gave it four stars is the ridge cap shingle made by Owens Corning to cover it is only sold in Texas and they will not ship to another state. I spent about a week calling them to get there recommendation on how to finish my roof. They told me to use three tab.

Our ridge vent was cracked in several places from a high wind storm, so we got this roll of ridge vent to replace it. It was very easy to install and looks great around the house. It only took us a few hours to put up the whole thing. I was impressed with the weather protector moisture barrier as well because we get some pretty ferocious storms up here high in the mountains. So far, so good!

If you want to keep your home safe and moisture free, I highly recommend this product. We just built our dream home, and the VentSure 11-inch by 20j-foot Ridge Vent Rigid Roll was an absolute must! I do not trust an attic fan, because if somehow they get bent and the blades get stuck, it can catch on fire and burn your house down! This Ridge Vent keeps your attic cool and comes with a weather protector moisture barrier that will provide you peace of mind.

Worked exactly as I imagined and easy to install

Causes mold in the attic at least in the midwest. After much research here is what I found: during cold weather the inner filter mesh collects condensation and because it is such a tight woven fabric, won't breath. The outer vent tubes start filling up with debris and moss over time. If the vent gets clogged, warm air rising from the house condenses on the inner roof sheathing and forms wet mold.

I installed this vent on the main ridge of a 2000 square foot house with a dutch hip roof line. I shingled over it with the Owens Corning ridge shingles. The shingles do not cover about ¼” of each edge but that may be part of the design. As long as the edges of the ridge vent are exposed they can’t get clogged up. Since I am using architectural shingles that have a shadow line the exposed edge of the vent is completely unnoticeable from the ground. I have never liked the look of a bunch of vents sticking up out of the roof and with this system you don’t destroy the look of your roof. I can’t actually make an estimate of the effectiveness of the vent but it looks like it will do a good job. One of the real advantages to this product is that you can install it with a nail gun. I used a coil roofing nailer to install both the ridge vent and the ridge cap shingles. In my opinion not only is it much faster to use a pneumatic nailer but the nailer always sets the nails at the right depth once it is adjusted.

I used it for a metal shed in Arizona, 12x26 I used sheet metal screws to attach it to the outside top of the roof then put a metal roof covering over the rig vent. no leaks and we will see about the heat in the summer. :)

easy to install, OK directions, don't for get the sealant to mate them together because it only came in 20 ft sections, and seal the end piece in, had to use 1/1-2 nails to get threw the shingle and the vent and have the nail go threw the 1/2 ply wood. Let it sit in the sun for a little so it molds to the roof better. I did a 40 ft vent on the top of my garage and I have never used this before. Watch a you tube video before you do it.
