This kit was very easy to use and I was able to completely transform our bathroom vanity in a matter of days! I had the base tinted to the greige color. The bond coat came out more grey than I expected but adding the optional glaze gave it that look I was hoping for! I did a small area( compared to the large kitchen projects others have done) so it was not too time consuming-most of the time was waiting for dry time between steps. I am by no means a DIY type person but I’m super happy with how this turned out!!!

Our cabinet transformation was amazing - from dark brown (wood) cabinets to a French Country White! I would absolutely recommend this kit and product! Follow directions and watch the included “how to” video before starting!

This kit was pretty easy to use. The directions were clear, and the final product seems to be of good quality. It definitely wasn't a weekend job, though, took about 1.5 weeks from start to finish, though I did allow for more than the required dry time between steps. Be careful to scrub the corners with the degreaser, and be sure to wipe it all off - there were a couple of spots that turned a bit orange on one cabinet door (inside, so no biggie) and I think it was because there was degreaser left behind. I did end up priming everything with the recommended zinser primer, just in case - I didn't want to deal with bleed through. The base coat went on smoothly and dried pretty quickly. With the primer, I only needed 2 coats of the base. I didn't use the glaze. The top coat went on fine - be careful not to let it pool or it will turn a little yellowish. I used a quality brush and dampened it a bit before applying the top coat and it went on smoothly. When I was done, I ran a small foam angle brush in the corners to ensure no pooling. I didn't have any of the streaking issues that other reviewers complained about with the top coat. I like that the wood grain still shows with this kit. In all I'm happy with the way it turned out.

I painted cabinets with this kit. I purchased white. When I was all done after a month of work every day, it began peeling and chipping. I did everything right. I had to to 5 coats on everything because it was so streaky! I called rustoleum and they were very nice and refunded me. I had to strip all the paint off, sand, used zinsser primer and then behr cabinet paint and it worked amazing. No chipping and I only had to do two coats! Maybe even one but I wanted to play it safe! Anyways, I do not recommend doing this. Go with the old fashioned way. It may seem like a lot of work but it is alot less work than this kit!

The kit was really easy to use. Took some time to clean and degloss the cabinets, but the finished product is amazing

Finding the right tools helps

My kitchen cabinets, wet bar, banisters and Vanities looks totally different.

I did this about 4 years ago. Some chips now ear where we touch the doors. But i am still very pleased. Total facelift. I bought a fixer upper with Great bones but a ton of Deferred maintenence including severe water stains on the cabinet doors. Big white circles that were worst in the cabinets near the sink and dish washer. I never took pics of the worst parts because they were so ugly. Plus this was one of many projects. I followed the directions. I suspect you could finish in a long weekend but I took long breaks between steps. I wish it came with more topcoat. I didnt run out but it was close. I wish I could have done a 3rd layer of topcoat. The finish was like a satin or eggshell. Light kit Biscotti with a light glazing.

Easy enough to follow directions. Only gripe was I did not know EVERY kit came with java glaze. I had to call rustoleum to find this out. So I skipped that step and put the top coat on. Looks beautiful.

This product is amazing! My cabinets came out so much better then I thought they would. My husband and I don't have any experience painting cabinets, we were really impressed with the directions and how easy it all was! We allowed extra time between applications. We used the glaze which worked for us as it made it slightly darker then just the paint. I love the way they came out! We used espresso color. We only had to purchase paint brushes as everything else needed is included in the kit. We're doing our guest bathroom next!

you have too be patient with this paint and use high end brushes it took 7 coats too cover a natural finish but came out nice

Love this product, so easy to use and it completely transforms old furniture into new. Perfect for dressers and nightstands that have water mark stains from glasses.

Best purchase I made so far this year! It saved me a lot of money just by using this instead of getting whole new cabinets. I recommend it!!

Love the results. Turned our 25 year old oak color cabinets into a new looking espresso color. Very simple and easy to do, but the look is amazing. I'm in love with me new kitchen. Definitely would recommend this product.

I loved it. I did mine a little differently. I did 1 code of paint and the sanded it down a little for that paint to make it look old.

What a major difference! It does take time as there are several steps with wait times in beween but well worth it especially at the price point!

This system completely is amazing. It completely transformed my cabinets. It is time consuming and attention to detail is very important. I recommend watching the instructional video and watching DIYers on YouTube for extremely helpful tips and techniques. I just finished applying so I can't speak to wear and tear yet that is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

I refinished my oak cabinets in my bathroom and was very pleased with the results of this kit! Degloss, clean, paint, glaze if you desire and then top coat! I used the light color kit and it turned out beautiful! Take your time doing it and you will be very happy!

Great product..1st step deglosser is pretty tough to do ..I has seen videos and they just WIPE the cabinets but its alot more scrubbing ..but paint itself goes on really smooth overall VERY HAPPY.

Glad I used this product turned out great . It takes longer than your normal painting because of the steps and drying time. Be patient its well worth it for the price. I'm really enjoying the new color took my old 40's kitchen to a modern look. Here is the before and after. I love the espresso look :)

I caught this on sale ($50) and pulled the trigger for some cabinets in my basement's work area (38 square feet +/-.) The key is in the prep work, as always. Everything was minimally double-coated over a few days. I used 2/3 of one of the two cans of paint. No glaze was used, just the topcoat for the final stage. I applied with chisel point sponge brushes and it was very efficient and had very good coverage. The first coat appears to look like it isn't sticking, but the follow through subsequent coats cover great. This was about the amount of cabinets that I would want to refinish in this way. It is a lot of steps with a lot of time in between. I would not be happy doing an entire kitchen unless the money was right. I am very happy with the results and would recommend this product.
