Avoid if you want dryer that lasts more than 3+ yr
Dryer was amazing, we loved it. Purchased new in 2018. Now in 2021 drum is breaking/cracking. Apparently a KNOWN issue in Samsung dryers 3+ yrs old. Lint gets through crack to motor & causes fires; and jagged/cracked metal catches & ruins clothes.

    Fantastic gas dryer. I found it incredibly user friendly and easy to navigate. It actually drys my cloths, without burning them with excessive heat like my old one. The steam cycles are easy to use, and are VERY effective at keeping clothes fresh, clean, sanitized and just plain old wrinkle free. I back my new dryer 100%!

    I love the look of the Samsung machines, and I think the company has some nice products but the washer and dryers are just so cheaply made. We have not had our dryers more than two years and constant issues. Plus, rust has started from the metal around the bleach deposit. What a joke! And, the washers don't clean clothes. I'd recommend a tumble washer over these drum washers. As a customer who owns two of each, I say AVOID. There are much better quality machines out there.

      DO NOT PURCHASE THIS DRYER!!!! I purchased the Samsung gas dryer 2 years ago, brand new from EHT Home Depot. As of two month ago, this same dryer is sitting in my basement, not a scratch on it, but doesnt work. Samsung gave me the price to come out and diagnose it, and it wouldve costed more to fix it than buying a new dryer!!!! After only two years! So I did exactly that, I bought a new dryer (NOT SAMSUNG BRAND) and now I am going to spread the word about this company. Not only that but when I started googling ways to get the word out, I found out my 2 year old Samsung washer model # WA48j7700A was recalled! Do not buy these home appliances, you will waste your money. If anyone else out there can update me with ways to spread the word about these appliances, please reply. I have never used the internet to talk about any home appliance or product before but I am so upset about this and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. It isnt fair!

        This dryer is annoying
        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the dryer turns off when the clothes are still damp. i have to go back to the year 1985 and estimate the time on the timer function. the buttons are hard to push on the control panel.

            I had this dryer for a little over a year, and the drive motor gave out under normal use. Considering it was a brand-new dryer, this type of quality is unacceptable from a supposedly reputable corporation. Additionally, I believe Samsung knows these motors are defective as they have discontinued their production, even though this a fairly new dryer; yet, they have not released any official notices regarding their poor quality. Finally, based on my research, I believe Samsung does not directly sell parts to consumers, rather, they use authorized sellers. This makes repairs you undertake less reliable because it leaves consumers searching for OEM “like” parts, which are of questionable quality at times. Overall, I suggest you avoid Samsung when it comes to your appliance needs. Their phones are great though lol

              warranty registration process needs improvement
              dryer was delivered with a broken lint screen. took 2 weeks to get registration completed and accepted, and another 10 days to get new part.

My exhaust vent is clear and we turned Eco Mode off at the suggestion of the Samsung help line. Two techs have been out, but still no luck. I bought this item on 4/10/19 and am extremely disappointed. We would love to return this dryer and get something that does what it is supposed to do, dry.
