One feature it states is a maintenance heater. It’s not a heater! It a “friction attachment “ that is supposed to keep the water heated by friction. What a load of crap. So if you want the water to stay heated you need to buy the upgrade of a heater.

I love my tub however I had to buy a new faucet and an extension pipe so the faucet would fit into the wall& water would flow into the tub. Tub is about one inch to a half inch too short. I ended up buying silver faucet and extension pipe when the rest of my plumbing is Crome but had to finish my bathroom with what I could get. Still love my tub.

Very happy with the tub

The installation guide was not very clear and did not look like it came from the tub manufacturer. The connection between the overflow and the drain was not easy. The metal support bar was in the way so my plumber had to route it past the air tube and the frame. Otherwise the tub has worked great so far. I have the 2646 model with jets and air.

Everything works as described. My client really loves this new tub.

It was easy to install easy to use. I really recommend it to anyone hunting a good walkin bathtub whirlpool.

Perfect walk in tub for a renovation project! My space was somewhat limited as I put the tub in the previous shower location. It was part of a complete bathroom makeover! Fit like a glove, easy hook up, and a great addition!

It works amazingly for my father

We bought this for our Father as he could not lift his legs to get in a standard tub. This is a very nice tub for the money. Installation was straight forward if you have a 60" alcove they give you panels to fit in opening.. The only thing different is the faucet fittings are 3/4 instead of the standard 1/2" had to get reducer bushings no big deal. Overall very nice tub.

Set up and installation was easy with use of "shark bite" connectors for the copper tubing in the house (no soldering required). With 1/2" supply lines it takes about a half hour to fill, bring a book to read. The drain supplied with the tub is only 1 1/4" and draining takes about 20 minutes. Again bring a book. A kitchen sink uses 1 1/2" drain, so why design this big tub with only 1 1/4"? I'm considering running dedicated 3/4" PEX supply lines to speed up the filling, and if I can find 1 1/2" or 2" drain set-up that will fit this tub I will change that too. Also, my 52 gallon water heater ran out of hot water when the tub was about 3/4 full. I have since installed a Heatguard Tank booster which allows setting the heater temperature at 140F and mixes cold water with the hot at the discharge maintaining 120F water supplied to the house. This should provide a greater volume of hot water. Havn't tried filling tub yet to check it out.

The tub is of good quality. I would like to see several changes made. 1. The controls were not labeled. Such as pump, air, drain. 2. The factory representative was slow to respond. 3. There were no directions on how to cut the tub spacer. 4. Cannot get the Aroma feature to work. 5. This is not a project for a new do-it-yourselfer. 6. The faucets are of very good quality. I would make this purchase again. My wife loves the tub

I reviewed this product before but it was rejected so I am trying again. The tub quality is excellent and I was taken back with the quality as it is so good. The product is difficult to install so please have a professional do the installation for you. The seat width is 19 inches so be aware of that. As the door is an inward opening door, you will have to stand in the back corner to close the door if you are agile enough. Since my wife, who is very weak, had such a difficult time closing and opening the door, she has refused to get back in the tub. As for me, I think the tub is great and the water and air circulation is absolutely fantastic! I haven't finished the final tub trim but I am showing a picture of the tub as ti is installed.

Remodeling my small 7x9 bath got tricky when replacing tub with walk in shower and adding a walk-in whirlpool/air tub. I chose the 3.9 ft because of its compact size but still delivered the whole whirlpool experience. At first my friends teased me saying the walk in tubs they've seen advertised are for the elderly. However with back problems, lying in a whirlpool tub is not comfortable for me so the ability to sit and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of whirlpool was a perfect solution. I love this tub. The craftsmanship is excellent, I cannot find a single flaw. Guests now have changed their minds and actually now want to come over for a "tubbie". My bath remodel was an elegant Euro styled retreat and this whirlpool fits in perfectly. See attached pic - it's worth a thousand words. Don't hesitate to consider these tubs.

Manufacturer recommends that after you unpack the tub to fill it to make sure there are no leaks. This was accomplished in the back yard with no apparent leaks. After installing the tub in the house before finishing the walls etc. we filled the tub to ensure that there were still no leaks. There was a problem around the door and the door drain that had not leaked earlier. Tried tightening the door. Still leaked. I called technical support at the company in Florida. They said that no one had ever reported this problem earlier. I went to a manufacturer in Fort Worth and visited with their designers. They put their door double seals on the tub side of their doors and did not put them on the door. Their design had no door drain. I purchased the double door seal for $20 and tried different configurations with an additional seal. Finally I placed the seal on the inside edge of the door in addition to the original seal and I finally was able to solve the leak problem. We love the tub and its features. I still do not know why the original seal (by itself) was not sufficient. Also there were no instructions as to the care of the tub. In absence of instructions we are using mild non-abrasive soaps and soft cloths to clean the tub.

After many years of wanting this type of tub, I was finally able to afford such a major purchase with all the bells and whistles. to ensure a relaxing, safe and enjoyable bathing experience. I do not currently require the use of a wheelchair, but I chose this model to give me the extra leg room to stretch out, more than the non-wheelchair accessible models permit. This model also has a lower seat, but sits high enough off of the ground as to where I just sit down as if siting in a chair and swing my legs around into the tub. One of the greatest features is the auto-drain. The thought of sitting in 80 plus gallons of water waiting for gravity to drain it all out while I'm sitting in water getting cooler by the minute was not something I was looking forward to. The auto-drain pumps & sucks the water with in seconds out of the tub so I can get out and dried off. Unlike a traditional tub, you can't get out until all of the water is drained, so this feature was important to me. I would advise you to ensure that your plummer is familiar with this type of draining system so that it is hooked up correctly. I wish that a more detailed, step-by-step instruction manual came with the tub, and that the tub I received was identical to the tub pictured in the manual. I had to go online and do some research to find a more detailed explanation of how the tub operated. With such a major purchase I decided that I might as well remodel my entire bathroom, to turn it into my own personal "spa". It turned out wonderfully, this tub lived up to everything that I dreamed it would be.

The tub itself works very well. It was not an easy install, but went quite well for me. My wife is quite pleased with it and can get in and out fine and finds it quite relaxing. A great help for her severe arthritis. Taking out the old cast iron tub was a lot of work. Prepping for instillation needs to be done carefully. After installation the tub looks and works great. Our 70 gal. electric water heater can provide enough hot water for a very warm bath, but then requires some recovery time.

Tub was an inch shorter & narrower than expected and drain was a tough fit over existing plumbing. It looks good, does not leak and is much easier to get in out of. In particular we like the textured bottom and slope which makes it easier for him to get up and for use as a shower bottom. There is a grab bar that is helpful for pulling forwarded (towards the door) but too low to help with pulling up. Overall we are happy with the choice and my son loves his baths again.

I am very pleased with the walk-in tub but there was a part that was damaged when we received the tub which the the company refused to replace it because we did not register the tub in time. The part was damaged before we received the tub so I feel they should have replaced it on any account.

Delivery truck had no way to unload. Had to have 3 men come to help. Small crack on outside left corner. Hard to connect plumbing. Poor installation manual. Door is very tight and hard to close handle. The front panel was not straight on left side. Hard to adjust for keeping the panel straight. Wider on bottom. The jets, lights features are good. Easy faucets, wand and water fill/drain. Easy clean surface. Have had about 6 weeks.

I had a contractor do the install but it seemed very simple, looks great! It was more of a safety item for my wife. We are very satisfied and pleased!

After having to print the 24-page manual myself, because NONE comes with it, we found it was missing the part(s) for a separate drain system for the jets. Factory 'customer service' would only argue when asked to send the missing part. After the plumber put together parts on his own, it was tested out, and over half of the jets leaked, due to a very poor job with the silicone sealant. I have no idea how this can possibly be a TOP RATED item. Save your money and lotsa headaches!

It was easily installed, it is easy to use, and a relief not to worry about falling..plus the price was right. The only thing to dislike is it takes awhile to fill, but you cannot have everything. No issues with shipping.

company wtll not send me any information as to the opperation of the use or the oppereartion of the rtub except the instilaation of thwe tubb.

It would have been nice if we were told we would need a new water heater

The instructions could be related to the specific model tub. The website doesn’t even provide a manual let alone a way to purchase parts for the tub. The tub itself is nice but snug getting thru the small doorway of the tub. The opening is too narrow. I still need to use a short step stool to step out of the tub.

When we ordered this tub online, a representative called and walked us through the order to make sure it was what we wanted. Well, that was all well and fine until we received the tub and it didnt come with a very important piece. The tile flange!! The tub could not be installed without it and it put our remodel two weeks behind!! Luckily our plumber read through the instructions and discovered this. We had to order the part and pay $100! It should have came with the tub and no one at universal tub even mentioned it to us! Very irritated and disappointed with universal tub. Also, the door was received with cracks in it and its up to us to repair it!! Universal says they will reimburse us, but who knows! I should have received the tub with no damage to it! Where’s their quality control?? So frustrated with this company!!
