Leak-free for 30 years
We just replaced 5 Velux skylights which served beautifully & without leaks for almost 30 years! Cant wait for these next 30 years!

Velux improvements are a mixed bag
I have owned 4 different versions of this Velux skylight. My home had the GGL-2 version in 1983. These were replaced in 2008 with VS- 308 version. I had the VS-2 version in an addition in 1992 and replaced those with the VS-M08 version. Velux has made great improvements in the exterior look and cladding of the skylight as well as the now "no-leak" flashing system. However, the interior build quality and appearance has suffered. The first three versions had very nice looking hardwood fit and finish. The latest version (VS-M08) has a plain looking painted wood finish with very poor "curb appeal".

Nice skylight , but…
Just installed replacement Velux fixed skylights.. Disappointed that the Venetian Blinds I enjoyed so much in the previous skylights are no longer available for this model. My old ones would not work in these new fixed skylights.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, NOT WORTH YOUR TIME
This has been the most frustrating purchase I have ever made. I purchased 2 skylights a month ago and they arrived broken 3 TIMES. After spending a combined 8 hours talking to customer support to understand what happened, reordering, and having to do it all over again 3 separate times, I regret buying these. Home Depot support kept pointing fingers at their vendor and UPS but did nothing different to avoid damaged products. AVOID!

Half a century plus of satisfaction
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our home was built in 1977 with an original 48x48 Velux domed skylight installed. The roof had been replaced a couple times over the years but the original skylight was retained as there was never a leak or other problem. But in 2021 we got a new roof and decided to replace it with a flat glass version simply to update the roofline. We love the new look, and have had no issue whatsoever. HIGHLY recommend Velux quality products!

Clean look. More light.
I replaced my existing skylights with Velux Fixed Deck Mount Skylight with Laminated Low-e Argon Glass. It is a cleaner look with more glass surface for more light.

Good Quality & Beautiful

Fixed Skylight is excellent
We had our Velux fixed skylight installed a few months ago as part of a roof replacement. We are very happy with the amount of light it brings into our entranceway and my plants love it too. The installation went fast and smoothly. We are also happy that we do not have to control the skylight by opening and closing it.
