What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?
Make certain your home is ready for summer temperatures by repairing faulty parts of your home. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. If moisture gets in the cracks, you could be looking at trouble. On your home's exterior, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that may let water in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.
Do you carry moving boxes?
Make your move easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those as well.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Restore power in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise while they create less power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole or window when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.
When is the Home Depot Kids Workshop in July?
Drop by our Kids Workshop on Independence Day, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last. It's time to assemble a wooden go-kart! Your little builder can put together their very own go-kart craft — like the racetrack version but kid-sized. The best part is pushing around your go-kart, so leave some time to play with others!
