Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

How long is The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale?

The bargains you've been waiting for are here from May 14–27! Shop huge Memorial Day Deals to upgrade every part of your house. We've got savings on refrigerators, tools, outdoor power equipment, and storage and organization, to name a few categories — but there's more! You’ll find unbelievable savings, including up to 40% off select appliances and select online bath items. You can shop the deals at our Memorial Day Sale in person at our store or on The Home Depot mobile app.

How can I prep my home for flip-flopping spring temps?

Be certain your home is ready for wild temperature swings by replacing faulty components of your home. If water gets inside the crevices, you might be in for a headache. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your house, inspect roof shingles or metal roofing for rust or damage that could let water come in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent excess water from backing up into your home. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.

What kinds of moving boxes do you have?

Make storage or moving easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Don't forget to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those as well.

Why should I get a generator?

Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When exploring different generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?

Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window when you can view animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.

What's the project for the free Kids Workshop in June?

Head to the Kids Workshop on June 6th, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a goalie game! Your little builder can assemble their very own soccer craft — like the tabletop version but kid-sized. Remember to enjoy the fruits of your labor and leave some time to play a few rounds of DIY soccer!
