Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

How long is The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale?

Prepare to save money when you shop The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale. We've got the major items you want to save on: grills, patio furniture, outdoor power equipment, appliances, and more. Some categories are up to 20% off, while others have select online items up to 40%! It's easy to snag unbelievable deals at our sale that runs May 14–27, 2026, with our mobile app or in person at your local store.

How can I prepare my home for fluctuating spring temperatures?

Be confident your home is ready for wild temperature swings by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. If moisture gets in the cracks, you could be dealing with mold. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your home, inspect metal roofing or shingles for damage or rust that might let water in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent water overflow from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're badly weathered.

Do you have specialty moving boxes?

Make storage or moving easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Don't forget to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those as well.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, remember that inverter generators are pricier than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Why should I get a doorbell camera?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed.

What's the project at The Home Depot Kids Workshop in June 2026?

Don't miss our Kids Workshop from 9–12 noon on June 6, 2026. Sign up for free to build a pint-sized soccer game. We provide the materials and you bring the creativity. Team up with your little ones to make this fun craft while supplies last. Remember to enjoy the fruits of your labor and leave some time to play a few rounds of DIY soccer!
