Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have a garage storage sale?

Find Garage Storage Savings and finally organize the garage or shed. Save up to 15% off select garage tool storage solutions and 20% off select storage solutions. Elevate the room with sturdy garage cabinets and other storage and organization options. Use storage bins to group your belongings, then arrange them on new garage shelves. Catch these bargains in-store and online from 6/22/26–8/18/26.

Where can I buy back-to-school supplies for my dorm?

Come see us for your college dorm essentials. Utilize our moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and be ready with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights. Make the room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.

How can I prepare my home for summer?

Be confident your home is set for relentless summer weather by repairing faulty parts of your hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On your house's exterior, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for damage or rust that could let water seep in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered.

What varieties of moving boxes do you offer?

Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you've been looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Do I need a generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or hurricanes, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

Which project is featured at the free Kids Workshop?

Head to our Kids Workshop on 8/1/26, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a pint-sized rocket game! Your little builder can assemble their very own rocket game craft — like a real rocketship but kid-sized. Don't forget to leave some time to watch your rocket climb the ladder into orbit!
