Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used to manufacture composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to our communities and the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Do you have huge Halloween yard decorations?
We carry many kinds of colossal outdoor Halloween decorations, several of which are animatronics. Make your front yard the spookiest in the neighborhood with giant Halloween decor options, including witches and skeletons. Dean the Deathologist and Skelly, the 12-foot skeleton, are two current favorites. Halloween inflatables, especially the big ones, make a huge visual impact.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise while they create less power. When searching generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.
Should I do siding repairs before it gets cold?
Make sure your home is ready for colder weather by replacing or repairing broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could headed for major repairs later. Check brick and cinder block for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine roofing shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that could let water leak in. Gutters should be clear to prevent ice dams. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed if in poor condition.
What storage solutions do you offer?
As you prepare for the holidays, give yourself extra space in the house and stow away the rest. Garage cabinets keep decorations, tools, and more out of the way. Moving blankets protect fragile items. Shoe storage and other storage containers take summer belongings out of the equation. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty of it.
How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Gift cards to The Home Depot are an excellent choice for birthdays, housewarming parties, and the holidays. DIYers know they're fun to receive and to give. They can be purchased at our brick-and-mortar stores or online at homedepot.com. If you receive a gift card, you can check your gift card balance online or visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Use our gift cards to shop online or redeem them in-store. There are no additional fees to worry about.
