feels very unsafe to shop in the store as they do not adhere to PPE requirements.. store is generally disorganized, dirty and today again they were out of items I was looking to purchase.. items that were in stock were so mixed up that it was impossible to buy anything in a quantity of 3 or 4

Excellent shopping experience and always find my home improvement needs at this location. The store employees are very accommodating with a good attitude, and proud to see an asset of good employees of all ages! Very impressed and awesome!

I went to Encinitas HD store today to pick some outdoor paint and was shocked to see how little do they care to follow COVID safety measures. Gentlemen at the paint department had his mask below nose and mouth, was touching face very often and than he would go on to hand the paint can w/o and cleaning and hand sanitation... this is not the first time they we see this store grossly departing from the standards that other Home Depot stores in the area follow.. so you are better of driving an extra 10-15 minutes and going to Melrose or Vista stores than exposing yourself to unsafe environment in this one

David in the lumber department was so friendly and helpful, helping me choose what lumber I needed, cutting it, and giving me recommendations! He made my shopping experience great!

Never purchase anything on-line from home depot. They will send you the wrong product!! Then you will have to take it back here to try and get your money back! hope you live close. Your company employee’s and policy an extremely inconsiderate to your customers. The new level of not caring about what was ordered vs what was delivered is without words. I ordered a portable air conditioner, your company sent me a grill. No review or quality check on the shipment. When I called to explain the mix-up, things for me as the customer got worse. Not only did your employee make a mistake, now it is my issue to resolve. I will not be refunded until the product delivered is returned (valued far less than more that item ordered), it is on me to return. I am now burdened with our employee’s mistake. Additional your going to steal my money on top of it. My only mistake was putting my faith and money in your incapable hands. You are worried about customers stealing from you when you are the ones taking our money, not delivering the product ordered. Then holding our funds hostage until we return the unwanted product. No offer of replacement, I would have to repurchase and give you more of my money for no reason. You are the worst. I will NEVER do business with you company again.

I found it easy to find an associate who quickly located the plumbing part I needed and I am comfortable with the ease of checkout and pandemic safety procedures.

All the employees were readily available and helpful will all my shopping needs. Cashier Juan was helpful, informative and charming.

Worst customer service. What I experienced today, prompted me to write this review. I was trying to purchase several items in the paint, electrical and hardware departments.. in electrical alone I spent over 45 minutes - at the beginning was patiently waiting for anyone to show up in any of the electrical isles, and as no one show up I went to search for anyone that could page anyone.. this was my third attempt at purchasing some junction boxes (2 ended up in returns of the items that HD employees told me would work)... finally someone said that they will page someone who works at the department.. but nothing happened.. then I asked again and again.. after about 45 minutes .. simply left This isn't just one isolated incident, there were several. I went a few miles down the road to a big competitor of Home Depot and it is also a couple of miles further from my home than this Home Depot location. The competing store is much cleaner, the employees are very friendly and helpful (I didn't have to FIND someone to help me, they came to me). Not all of the employees at this Home Depot were bad but the handful of ones that I encountered were bad enough to send me somewhere else. The employees at this Home Depot are not knowledgeable, I've received this exact reply from multiple employees that "It's not my department," and they would just POINT me in the direction where I should go FIND someone and they are just straight up rude.

Dallas, in the paint dept, was.very helpful and accommodating and efficient. He went above his call of duty to help facilitate a paint discount from my Pro account when a supply of the base paint was not available in the 5 gal tub. I appreciate it.

customer service at this location is appalling..especially as it relates to pro desk - usually they are very rude, lacking basic professional courtesy and they never ever follow up on a customer requests. Rodney is an example of a rude and very unprofessional employee who fails to return customer calls and generally does not care whether the order gets placed or not.. i feel he prefers orders not to be placed as it is less work for him . They are also seen frequently not wearing facial masks/coverings thus making our shopping experience less safe If you need to shop at HomeDepot, location on Melrose always offers professional, friendly and courteous service

Love Home Depot in general, but there is something about the "vibe" in the Encinitas store that makes us feel great when we visit. Super friendly and helpful staff throughout - great service from the paint department, good advice and help in the plants department, and service with a smile when we return something or need to pick up a special order. Thank you!

When I go if I need help the employees are always helpful and friendly. Store seems to be well stocked.

Employees are all indifferent and barely helpful. Feel as a woman, I was treated less than a man would have been.

Employees are always so helpful and pleasant. I had so many things to get today and was able to get help in every isle I went into. The employees really make shopping at Home Depot a great experience.

In the garden section there is a young man named Gavin who is exceptional. When I asked for someone to help me, he quickly volunteered, left the register he had been working, and took me on a search for the perfect orange tree. We looked over several and came up with questions he couldn't answer...he eagerly went searching for someone who could. This other employee advised on selection and care of citrus and recommended a product. Back to looking at trees, I changed my mind, and Gavin patiently adjusted the search. We found one, then Gavin led me to find the product I needed to keep the tree healthy. After checkout, Gavin helped me load the very heavy tree into my vehicle. I left very happy with my purchases and, on arriving home, told my wife all about this great guy working at Home Depot.

employees are NOT adhering to safety requirements and are NOT wearing face masks. At the pro desk female associate had her mask below her chin, with both nose and mouth uncovered while coughing and rubbing her face with her hand, only to handle customer paperwork moments later w/o disinfecting her hands and when confronted with the question related to the rule breaking that may endanger customers was only defensive. It was even worse to see her immediate supervisor being protective of her behavior and downplaying this terrible situation. Nor to even mention that it took enormous amount of time to finalize simple order.

the store has what I need

I understand the issues we all face with the virus and HD is going out of their way to control the spread. While I cannot speak for everyone I personally think in most cases this is a little over done. I do however respect HD doing what they think is best for their customers. The aisals in gardening are too narrow for large carts with heavy landscape timbers. They need a better and safer way to let customers exit with these carts One associate I felt was a shining star oon my last trip. I went to gardening and had several questions. I had trouble finding someone to help until I stopped Cynthia in the Garden Dept. She was so helpful and nice. She went out of her way to help me find everything I needed. Even had great suggestions. I later found out she was on her break when she helped me only to return to her job as cashier. I asked why she did not just get someone else to help so she could go on her break she said "customers come first and at Home Depot we always appreciate your business" This woman is a gem durning a very stressful shopping trip. Hold on to Cynthia she is an example of the way a business should train their employees and hopefully her actions will rub off on others

Juan was great to work with in the store. He provided insightful suggestions that saved me some money.

The Home Depot Store at El Camino Real and La Costa is staffed with friendly, knowledgeable people who will always help;and if they don't know, they say so, and find someone who does. I live nearby and go there all the time. Anne, Mark, Rosa and Juan are always the best

This store has terrible customer service (actually non existent) I live within 2 miles from the store but often drive 6 miles to Melrose HomeDeport as they have far superior customer service. Store is very messy, and frequently out of stock of basic items, but by far the WORSE is customer service (try to contact them by phone - hold is sometimes 40 minutes or even more as they forget when they pace you o hold) - there is no follow up
