Corporate Home Depot you really, really need to recognize Store #6301 for their exceptional teamwork, knowledge, customer service, friendliness, adherence to the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), etc. I could go on and on but I’m sure you get my strongly intended intentions. First about me: I am a USAF veteran of 22 years’ service to our great Nation rated 100% disabled. To look at me you’d never guess it. May 2, 2017 I had my 21st major surgery to try and repair my back for the 5th time. I was told I’d never walk again three times and all three times I’ve proved Doctors and Specialists wrong, though I do wear a custom made brace for my left leg. I’ve had multiple TBI’s (traumatic brain injuries) consequently I have some brain damage. Why do I tell you this because “my store staff” knows me very well and watches out for me. They carry heavy items to my vehicle; have personally walked me to an item I was searching for, held items for me to run home to get the credit card I forgot so I could make a purchase; what wonderful people we are talking about. My beautiful wife Pam and I have literally spent 10’s of thousands of dollars at this one store remolding our home, fencing in the yard with 6’ slats, and a lot more. To include the typical fixit items. And we have the right to say we can compare one store brand over another. We have had bad experiences at “another” store over ADA issues which; I was in the right and won a considerable settlement. The point is its never ever a concern at Home Depot, there is plenty of up front and close to the entrances HCP accessible parking for one, safety in the store is “ALWAYS” job number one, blocking isles if need be or putting up signs or traffic cones. The isles are kept clear of clutter or debris. The cutting areas are very safe as far as I can tell (Engineering is my background). In the last 14 years I have never noticed a safety violation of any kind while I was in the store and Pam Bordwell continues with that strong determination. The store is well lit, always clean, well-organized, and normally most items are in stock you might want. I’d like to personally recognize numerous folks that have assisted me, in no particular order and if I left out a repeat helper I truly apologize in advance, Scott, Carleen, Melissa, Rodger, Bobbie, Fitz, Terry, Tom, Candace, Lula, Doug, Erik, Paul Asst. Store Mngr. and of course the chorographer of it all Pam Bordwell The Store Mngr. whom I’ve met with and spoke with at length expressing my gratitude for her staff.
