I love the manager of the store Sam, And he seems to have a pretty good cast of workers. Friendly, helpful and really to help the customer. Jus, in lumber is the best!! The night crew is a professional but fun group of super nice people !

 I called in to purchase a dishwasher. A salesperson named Wendy answered. I told her I needed a great dishwasher at a good price and needed to know what was in stock. She told me that of all the dishwashers they had in stock at the time, she recommended the Kitchen Aid. She said it got excellent reviews, it looked good, it didn't have many repair issues, it was super quiet, an energy star appliance, and best of all it was on sale for hundreds of dollars off. I made the purchase right there over the phone and it will be delivered this Monday. Wendy was quick, efficient, knowledgeable with the products, and delivered the best customer service over the phone that I've ever had on a phone transaction ever (usually people on the phone are rude and short & won't take the time to help someone). She also made sure I had everything I'd need to install it (power cord & water-line kit). She also  told me to fully inspect the dishwasher while the delivery guys were still there and if there were any dents, scratches etc., to refuse it and they'd send another. She also said to get it installed and try it out to be sure it all worked properly within 48 hours and if anything was wrong, to call back and they'd send out another before it went to the manufacturer's warranty - which could be difficult and untimely to deal with. All Great tips! So, I like this Home Depot and I highly recommend buying an appliance from Wendy there.

THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORKING MORAL OR SPIRIT BETWEEN HILO AND KONA IS VERY APPARENT, HILO IS FAR MORE EVERYTHING THAN KONA. IN KONA, I DON'T FEEL LIKE GOING BACK, NO REAL EXPRESSION TO HELP OR ASSIST, EVERYONE APPEARS TO BE AVOIDING CUSTOMERS. I purchased shipping boxes to ship some art to Honolulu. I couldn't find any boxes at USPS, FedEx or Office Max. Home Depot had a lot of product and supplies. The prices for each item were well displayed and all of the products were neatly stocked on the shelves. An employee approached me and took me to the location where the products were stocked.

so very slow this morning but rather than the 4 employees who were standing at check outs just talking story they could have checked us out rather than have us go to self check out.

I was financed for the entire amount of money, an exceptional amount. Immediately when I went in looking for a washer and dryer on an emergency run. Walked out fully financed and withen 3 days shipping!

Returned an item I bought that Home Depot took my money for immediately, but have now been told it will take 3-5 businesss days for the $400.00 + refund to be applied back to my purchasing credit card. Add in the weekend on either end and that can be a full 9 days. Even Apple and United Airlines issue refunds within minutes.

The Cashier was kind and aided me with all my purchases. She went over an beyond to ensure I had a great experience.

I’m building a walk in shower in my home. The employees in the tile department are knowledgeable, friendly, and physically helpful! Tile and the materials needed to install it are heavy! The Hilo store employees have been super helpful- it’s been three trips so far and each time I have been given excellent service from selection, to check out, to loading into my car. Thank you!

This store is regularly out of common items. I've learned to place an online order for anything I absolutely have to have before traveling.

She was extremely helpful and cheery. She checked to see if the appliances were available at a nearby store. Shel scanned and checked out the other miscellaneous items that were in my cart, after helping me buy a washing machinr.

If you need help in the paint department look for Randy. He is so helpful, friendly and knowledgable about the products in that department. I wish he was there full time.

Asking for assistance is a crapshoot.. some don't want to be bothered and others go out on a limb to assist. I know it's a safety issue but closing half the isles of the store then just leaving the forklift in the middle of the isle and then every one leaves with all the isles closed off. Luckily there is hpm that will bring lumber to your vehicle and load it for you.

Friendly employees. Helpful and willing to help. Store is neat & clean and so are the bathrooms.

I've been avoiding going to the Hilo Home Depot for the past several years as the service ranged from non-existent to horrible. As the other 2 hardware stores did not have what I needed, I ventured into Home Depot and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted and asked if they could help me find what I needed, and they knew right where my needed item was. To top it off, there were actually check out clerks working that were helpful as well. I actually asked the clerk if they were under new management, she said yes. Kudos to the new management!

Purchased door seems perfect in size, shape and color.
