Welcome to the Poulsbo Home Depot, where we're ready to help with all of your DIY projects.

Whether you're looking for custom kitchen cabinets or electrical supplies, your favorite local hardware store has you covered. Our experienced associates can help you find the products you need for your DIY project. At Home Depot, community involvement is important to us. We support Kitsap Rescue Mission and assisted in the renovation of the Nelson House in partnership with The Coffee Oasis and Poulsbo Rotary. What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

Why is it that every time I visit the store, I leave with higher blood pressure? Lets talk about my experience: I enter the store and pick something up from the low numbered aisles. Then I head to the building materials, where I have to search for a cart. But there aren't any in the aisles because they all have orders pre-staged on them. After accomplishing that impossible task, I find out that something on my list is in stock (i ALWAYS check now), but not in the bay where it is supposed to be? It's always hidden away. Often times there is product readily available, but the quality is so low, that it's not even good enough for the cull pile. The employees are great and always help me out, except for when the product is in some inaccessible location buried behind other products. Something changed within the last year, and this store has gone way down hill. Convenience and helpful staff are the only reasons I subject myself to the stresses of this store.

Great place to shop that has a well stocked garden area and tons of plantings. Many of these items are out of stock at other locations. Friendly employees and lots of cashiers made for an easy exit. I personally do not like self checkout lanes, and this store seems to have lots of cashiered lanes available. Never gets too crowded either, and convenient location with Walmart next door and lots of eateries closeby.

When Home Depot sells an appliance, they wash their hands of all responsibility for what they just sold. They're happy to take your money, but that's where it ends. For example, if you buy a $1000 washing machine & it doesn't work, don't call Home Depot, because they won't help you. Although the Home Depot paperwork says (and I quote), "we are truly honored to be your partner in this process!", they are a "partner" no longer. You have to call a number & after 6 layers of computer responses (if you have responded correctly to the ill-defined, not specific choices), you end up with a very poor connection to the manufacturer's call center in the Dominican Republic. When your call gets dropped, you get to start over again. After slowly & painfully explaining the situation to the english-is-my-second-language operator, you can get a replacement ordered ... to be delivered more than a month later.

They were limiting the number of people in the building and had signs reminding people to stay 6 feet apart, which is a good thing. Unfortunately, that was the limit of the stores efforts to prevent community spread of the coronavirus. Only two of the employees were wearing masks. The employees were congregating around the social distancing signs to chit chat. On four separate occasions, employees approached to within a foot or two of me, two touched my cart to move it, and one touched me on my shoulder. The behavior of the rank and file employees shows that they are still ignorant of the importance of taking this virus seriously, and shows that Home Depot management just does not care about the health and well being of either their customers or employees beyond making the minimum appearance of concern without actually doing anything.
