Q:Instead of the faucet provided with the 5300+, can I use a different beverage faucet (Brizo 61320LF-C-BL) as it matches my sink faucet? This Brizo faucet is intended to be used with filtration systems, RO systems, or as a dedicated cold water supply).

We recommend that you use the faucet provided with your purchase. We have extensively tested the system with the faucets included. The faucets are NSF-tested and certified to contain no lead. In addition, they will not impart any unwanted chemicals into your water.

Step 1: Turn off the main water supply underneath the sink.
Step 2: Remove the sump from the manifold and reconnect.
Step 3: Ensure that the connection points align correctly and turn the sump from the left to the right until it stops.
Step 4: If the sump is not locked in the correct position, it can slow the flow of your system. This process should mitigate that issue.
Step 5: Once re-threaded and re-attached, test by turning the water supply back on.

Thank you for your question. The AQ-5300+ Max Flow will not help reduce fluoride from the drinking water. The system has been tested and certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53 (includes P473), and 401 for the reduction of over 97% of chlorine and chloramines, 99% of lead, and 96% of PFOA/PFOS. It’s also certified to reduce mercury, chlorine-resistant cysts, herbicides, pesticides, VOCs, and pharmaceuticals.
