A: THe 744RNL Recessed Fan/Light can be installed anywhere between ceiling joists using mounting brackets provided. * Install in a flat ceiling only. This information is provided in the installation instructions. You can access them at www.broam.com.

Q:Can this unit be wired 14/3 on a GFCI 15 Amp breaker? Or does it require 12/3 on a 20 Amp?

A: The 744RNL can be wire with the 14/3. It doesn not require a dedicated circuit. The specifications are 120 V, 0.4 AMPs.

Q:I have an existing light unit of similar diameter centered between joists that are spaced 16" on centers. The fan intake is not centered on this unit. Can this unit be situated far enough to one side to allow the intake to be centered between the joists, so I could use the existing hole in the ceiling?

Q:I am remodeling and have a tiled ceiling. a) does the bottom flange have to be flush with ceiling, can I extend with a 6" duct if needed, b) the directions say to cut a 6 1/2" diametre hole, can I sqeeze into a 6 3/8" carbide cut hole?

Q:I had a prevoius reccessed light in my bathroom. It was the exact same size as the exahuat fan. I was able to drop the collar in the hole perfectly. With it in the hole I screwed the brackets to my celing joices with no problems. The unit is sitting flush wirh my attic. Wanted to make sure this would not cause an issue later on

A: Yes, the installation manual says place insulation around and over fan housing. But - insulation around ducts not recommended because of mold.
