I am very pleased with my ventilation fan/light. It is quiet and effective. It is not as effective as I would have liked, but that is on me. I should have given more consideration to the size of my bathroom before making the purchase - let that be a heads up to you. Measure before you purchase and install. Also, I have two other lighting systems in my bathroom. So, I wanted soft lighting in the vent. I'm using a low watt bulb in it and the effect is perfect for a relaxing bath or night use. I am remodeling the master bath now and have already purchased another Broan.

This fan looks nice, a little louder than I would like, but ok for the price

I was able to replace a similar fan/light in the bathroom without complication. my wife immediately commented on how much quieter the new one is. Since we use it a great deal the significant lack of loud noise is a relief. Now she wants me to replace the fan/light in the other bathroom with this quieter version.

This fan was exactly what we needed for our small powder room. It moves the air, and is very quite.

fan is good for initial installation with new construction. Not good for replacing existing fan.

I bought this to switch out an older model, I used the light/grill assembly and fan motor with blade to update a model with a seized motor (13 years old). Excellent switch, ladder in bathroom and 15 minutes later ladder was hung back up on the wall, DONE.

This was one of the cheaper ones in store that i looked at. Very reluctant but decided to get it... heck you can return it if the thing sounds like a jet landing in your bathroom . but was very suprised that i had to make sure it was even on because the noise was so low . great product

takes some know how to install because you need to cut into the ceiling, vent the fan and also run the electric. Works well and looks great.

When selecting a replacement, I'd recommend removing the old one first and measuring the opening in the ceiling

It was pretty simple to install and works very well. It is also pretty quiet! I will be buying another one for the other bathroom soon!

I was very surprised at how quiet this exhaust fan was when it was installed. I actually had this installed in two bathrooms. It is quiet, looks nice and works well. I highly recommend this product for anyone needing a bathroom exhaust.

This is a good, reliable product and very easy to install. Access to the internal wiring is a little awkward as you have to wire it in and close the access panel before mounting.

We ordered two of these fan kits to replace the ancient ones in our bathrooms, which were noisy to begin with, but effective. Recently however, they had begun to squeal even after regular cleaning, so we decided to replace them. The kit comes complete with everything you need to replace your existing bathroom exhaust fans except the light bulb and the vent 'hose'. Because it is so hot here in the summer, I just replaced the fan motors and fans, waiting until it cools off to replace the complete units. The new fan and motor combination isn't the quietest, but it is effective, and will reduce humidity damage. They seem to move a lot of air for their size and low cost. If they're half as reliable as the originals, we should have years of sturdy service. All in all, good value for the price and easy to install. Also they arrived early and well-packaged without damage.

Great quality at a good price & very easy to install

The unit fit well into an opening I had already, the cover was larger than the area that had previously been cut allowing some wiggle room with the hole in the sheet rock. Some vibration noise, lined areas where metal/plastic overlapped with tape/other rubber to prevent rattle.

This was a replacement for a 38 year old original fan. Went in pretty straight forward. It isn't as quiet as I would have liked, but manageable.

Makes more noise than expected. Had a 20+ year old fan and this one is barely quieter. I recently installed a fan in my bathroom at work and it is much quitter than this one. Get what you pay for.

I purchased this ceiling fan/light so I could replace the fan motor, grill, and lens on my old Nautilus N678 unit. Buying the parts individually was more expensive than buying this unit. Removing the housing of the old unit would cause too much damage to the ceiling, so replacing it with a different unit was not desirable. The original Nautilus is about 30 years old, but even the holes for the fan motor mounting matched up.

With a light and an exhaust fan to replace an overly loud existing exhaust fan, this was just right for me. It was a little hard to install as a replacement. In a new build, it would have been a piece of cake to install. It's a little louder than some, but for the price, I'm ok with that. It is certainly a lot less noisy than the one I replaced. Overall, I think the rating on the box for noise is very accurate.
