not so smart opener
This supposedly smart opener worked great for about 3 weeks before it stopped. The MyQ error code suggested the sensors were not aligned which was not accurate. Chamberlain tech support said it wasnt the opener and admitted the codes arent always accurate. Clopay the HD installation company refused to send an installer back out. I ended up having OverheadDoor come out who concluded the opener is the issue. Avoid the finger pointing game and do not buy this unit or use Clopay to install.

The garage door opener did not work for my garage. Had to return it …and since that time although I do have a receipt from the Redmond Home Depot, I have never ever received my reimbursement. Tried repeatedly to get help from Home Depot with no success. Very disappointing had to contact my bank for assistance.

Quality product, quiet operation, easy to install
This was replacing a 25 year old liftmaster chain system. I had been having problems with our remotes opening our previous door. Wasn't sure if it was interference or the circuit board going out. Rather than spending money troubleshooting the old system, I decided to replace it in the hopes it would have better signal. This new unit opens and closes every time with the remote, and it is a much quieter system. Installation was so easy, loved the 3D instructions on the BILT app.

DO NOT BUY if you care about home automation
Chamberlain has recently locked down their API so third-party integrations won't work, except for a very few authorized partners. They took my money and then changed the functionality of the product, breaking my home automation integration. It seems they are looking to lock everyone into their proprietary MyQ app, and I would not be surprised if they start charging a subscription fee for access to these features. If you care about such things, don't buy Chamberlain MyQ products.

The only thing worse than the products is the customer service.

I purchased a Chamberlain garage door opener and the installation. It all went very smoothly. In fact I overpaid for an installation item that was not needed. Installer returned the item and I received a refund. It is very quiet, I really like the ease of opening and closing. A great value

Device noise is decibels lesser than the standard garage door units. I recommend this product.

Chamberlain isn't friendly with thire
I purchased this garage door opener due to it's ability to integrate MyQ with homes control system. Chamberlain is now restricting 3rd party API access to my own garage door and require me to use their clunky app. I don't want a separate app for every "smart" item in my home. Due to the recent changes I will never purchase another Chamberlain MyQ product again. I'd recommend going with Genie or another more consumer friendly competitor.

Will not work with you're smart home
The company has been bought out and they've become consumer hostile blocking access to their apis while simultaneously forcing you through them for remote access to the garage door making it impossible to use with modern home automation systems locking you into a handful of walled gardens. I'd avoid at all costs now.

Hidden Costs with Homelink
Opener is fine. It's quiet and relatively easy to install. However, how is a fairly modern opener not able to interface with homelink? I've had to use three different openers over the last 10 years and all were able to interface with the homelink system in my cars. However, this one apparently needs an extra circuit board to work. It's basically another 10% of the cost added on. This should have been included in the cost of this opener. This should be noted in the product info before purchase.
