The unit worked as advertised but I stopped using it and switched back to my Oneida cyclone system. The Dustopper is significantly noisier than the cyclone but worked as well as the Oneida system. Okay if one can dream with the high noise level.

for a small shop or a single tool dust collection system this works perfect. still has lots of suctions and there is only really fine dust particles that end up in the vacuum its self

Great product, you just need to find the right adaptors to fit your tools and vacuum. Does an incredible job of keeping the dust to a minimum.

I have used several cyclones over the years and this one works the best. It stops far more dust from reach the vacuum that others.

Dust separator is good but it came with a crack where the vacuum hose plugs in. I needed to start using it so I duck taped it so it's okay.

I was sceptical until I saw how many other people were using like devices in their workshops. It really works.

Great, time saving, and convenient product for regular use but not as efficient with fine drywall dust. Filter still needed regular cleaning when sanding drywall.

It’s a great dust separator, some may say that the dust deputy is better, I would say it’s equal. You really get less than 1 percent coming back into vaccum, it’s like a fine film on inside of vacuum easily wiped out.

sadly it does not make the filter last longer. it does separate the dust from the heavy particles as promised, hence the 2 stars. it is misleading to say or infer the filter will last longer between cleanings or replacement. it also does lower the suction ability of the vacuum unit.

Works very well and much lower profile than the standard cyclone separators. At first, it didn't seem like I had much suction and I thought my shop-vac was underpowered. But once I emptied my shop-vac and blew-out the filter - it was amazing. Works with both my shop-vac hose and my rRdgid 2" hose perfectly. In a few weeks of using it there is nothing in the shop-vac and the filter looks perfectly clean.

Does exactly what it says it does. Very easy to install.

Effectively drop dust into the bucket, keeping the vacuum clean, greatly extending filter life.

Expensive asking price from HD for a piece of plastic cap. Works alright - catches 80% of dust. Difficult to remove from HD bucket. Feels as though it'll break off after a few more times of removal.

Works as expected. Simple and easy. Fine dust still passes through and onto the shop vac, but all larger particles fall into the bucket before entering the vacuum. Nice to not have to shake out the filter after each wood working session. I didnt notice any suction loss due to the extra hose run that is required with this unit. I suspect any losses are offset with the vacuum filter staying cleaner for longer. Only downer, and no fault to the product, is my shop vac has now lost all sense of mobility. The dust bucket is on a short leash to the vacuum and tips over almost instantly with any attempt at pulling the vaccum along the floor. If you buy this be prepared to build some kind of cart to carry the two units together. There are lots of example online. For me I dont have room to spare on the garage floor so I bought instead a used dust collector that I mounted to the wall.

Works well... I’d say about 98% of saw dust gets separated. The fine dust makes its way to the filter though.
