Great product easy to use

I like this IPS Poly gas piping a lot. This was used to mount 100# propane cylinders about 40 feet away from the cabin. One continuous length of poly pipe with one of these risers was used at each end. This minimizes the number of points where a leak may occur. The couplers for the IPS tubing are simple to use. A gas detector as well as bubble fluid showed no leaks t]after the initial connections. Almost foolproof I guess. The metal pipe is coated with some type of westher resistant coating. The threaded end came with a protective caps and the poly end with a protctive plug. All was perfect when the shipment arrived. This is much better than pieces together shorter lengths of steel pipe. The IPS poly pipe can be buried directly. It should not be exposed and should not be used inside a wall or floor cavity. There are other products for those uses.

Very good product beats the copper line for ease of work and since it is buried it is much safer

25 year veterin of the trade, this product cost less than our local supply houses. Just as good if installed properly. Most 1 star reviews are from not connecting it right. Use local gas charts to properly size the line. Local utility may have to upsize the meter to account for the larger BTU volume, this is usually done for free. Remember to add tracer wire in the trench. Happy DIY’ing.
