Easy install, but blades are not durable.

We're very happy with this! The blades look cheap, but it's overall good-looking enough and I doubt anyone will be looking closely at it. Well-packaged, easy install, and it'll be easy to change the bulb! Smart design and great pricing. We paired it with a Hampton Bay remote which works very well, also. The written directions are hard to follow, but the installation video on this product page is great.

Just the right size for over our outdoor patio table!

We are very happy with this fan. We installed it in a screened in small porch. It looks great and does a great job moving air. I installed a 12” rod instead of the small one it came with so the fan is lower off the ceiling.

I have a small 3rd story loft built into the attic. The ceiling slants and I needed a small enough fan with a long enough downrod for the blades to clear the slanted ceiling. This fan works great. I did buy the downrod separately, a 24 inch, but it works perfectly.

The installation was pretty straight forward. My biggest issue was installing a new construction fan box where my original light was under my back porch. After that was installed it was a breeze to finish installation. I would highly recommend for $120 for the fan and fan box, plus it's outdoor rated and is the cheapest I had found online by far.

I wasn't a huge fan when I saw this fan at the store but it looks so pretty. The painting on the blades is not great, one of them has too much white and an off pattern; it really drive me nuts, you can see it on the picture. It was a little complicated to install, it might probably be better to assemble it completely before hanging it, even while the blades makes it annoying to hang it up. Other than that, it's a nice fan with a good speed. I installed it with a universal remote, very well recommended.

This fan is relatively easy to assemble and install. I did look at the video and follow instructions. The screws are a little difficult to get to when installing but worth the effort. We got two fans installed in my sunroom and the look very nice. And the reversible blades is a great way to change the look.

I ordered the fan listed and pictured above. I received the fan shown in the pics. This is a nice fan, and appears to be new. It was a fairly straight-forward fan installation, and the lights were included. I installed it in one of my offices, and it does the job.

I just installed my Hampton Bay Cedar 44 IN. INDOOR/OUTDOOR ceiling fan. And it was very easy to set up. Its taken me about 1 hr. And let men say it looks nice and works great. I can see it made of good quality parts. So i know it's going to last. On the set up it was the main power wire black ,white ,light blue And green. on the light kit . There was a plug, male and female. The light bulb has one black and one white it was Very easy to connect. .

We wanted to put a ceiling fan on our back patio since we spend many summer evenings out there. Also we are hoping that during the summer it will help discourage bugs from flying in as we come in and out the door. We knew we wanted something with a rustic or vintage look as this is our country property. We found the Cedar Lake 44 inch indoor/outdoor fan with light kit by Hampton Bay and loved the look of it. It has a led bulb which will use less energy. The main body of it is matte black and the blades have an option of medium/dark brown or a med/dark gray color. We went with the gray as we liked the way it looked better. The installation was pretty basic and straight forward like most ceiling fans. The only minor inconvenience was that they did not label the screw bags so that you knew which ones to use then but its no big deal. The fan blade installation was a little easier than most we have done and to be honest it was kind of nice not to have to fight to get them on. It seems like the new way of attaching will still keep them firmly in place so no worries of them flying off or coming loose. The light cover itself is plastic but you can not really tell by just looking at it. The cover seems to have a pitted glass look which we really like. The black cage part that goes over it is also very nice and adds a nice look to it. The matte black color is well done and pretty much seamlessly blends the metal and plastic parts together. The only real negative to me about this fan is that the unit can not be flush mounted. Also the silicone type gasket that was attached to the clear part of the housing was coming apart in areas almost like it had layers that were separating. This does not appear to affect the function of the light or the appearance so once again no big deal. The lighting is not super bright but it does put out a very nice amount of light. All in all we are very happy with this unit!

Love this Cedar Lake style ceiling fan by Hampton Bay. The 44 inch size is pretty standard – making this fan not too small nor too big. The light kit incorporates an LED bulb which is great for energy efficiency. The matte black finish is top-notch and has a good coating. We noticed this fan shook a bit on the fastest speed but that is comparable to others. The reversible blades are great to cater the fan design exactly to your space. The DIY assembly and install was easy and in-line with other fans and light fixtures.

We ordered the Hampton Bay Cedar Lake 44 inch indoor/outdoor Led Matte Black Damp Rated Down rod ceiling fan with light kit, and reversible blades for an additional third fan for our market to help our two existing fan control the mid summer heat, the Hampton Bay fans are our choice we have four Hampton Bay ceiling fans in our buildings and they have served us well, the fans are made from high quality material they are easy to assemble, and install.

Bought this to use in the gazebo we bought from HD last fall. So excited to have it installed for the summer.! It has a really cute light that will fit in perfectly with the laid back vibe that our gazebo adds to our deck. It’s a smaller fan as we didn’t feel like we needed a lot of weight added to our gazebo roof We do feel like it’s just enough to keep the air moving on hot summer days and nights
