It was easy to install and I would highly reccomend this product.

Kidde Firex Carbon Monoxide Detector replacement. The old one was just that, old. It started chirping one day and I pressed the "Hush" button. I replaced the batteries with new ones, but a few days later, it started chirping again. I went to the Kidde website for more information. The detectors do have an expiration and mine had reached it's life limit. I had not dated the old unit but feel sure it was over the ten years it was built to last. I marked the new unit before I installed it and each year when I replace the batteries, now I will know when to replace the unit. The unit comes with batteries, installation instructions, and mounting screws and spacers. Good value for home safety.

Appears to be a great value. I can't say how good it works yet because you can't smell or see carbon monoxide. If I'm still alive in 10 years it's either because it worked or I haven't had a carbon monoxide leak in my house. I did buy 2 of them because I wanted something to protect my family and I don't have a lot of money. I also bought 6 smoke detectors because out of every place I checked Home Depot had the best price easily. I think that they might be doing this on purpose to help keep people safe. Thank you Home Depot.

Took care of the problem...

It was easy to assemble and install. Nothing complicated at all. The cost was decent.

Unit works as required by city ordinance but the batteries outlasted the CO sensor inside. The projected life is 7 years but all of mine failed in about 6 years. The new ones are good for 10 years. Wonder why the manufacturer doesn't supply a plug-in CO sensor instead of making you throw the entire unit out, Could be expensive and labor intensive if you have many apts.

Easy to activate and hang on the wall.

We purchased two of these detectors. We have a new house that has interconnected smoke detectors, but when I read about them it did not say they detected carbon monoxide. We have an attached garage, a gas fireplace and a gas furnace. Carbon monoxide could come from any of these. We would rather be safe than sorry. This detector is relatively inexpensive and easy to install. I would recommend it to anyone.

Easy to install. My previous Kidde CO alarm expired exactly 7 years to the manufacturing date. It's nice that the newer version comes with batteries and less for 10 years now.

How can I rate a CO detector I just purchased? I really was looking for a battery replaceable version. The reviews for 10 year devices is not as high as I would like.

Easy installation and it works.

Kidde is an excellent manufacture of CO alarms. It is a quality product and very reliable. It will alarm at 50 ppm after 30 mins of continuous levels and will go all the way up to 400ppm of lafter 8 mins. Ibsuggest mounting this unit on the wall vs on the ceiling. When it doesnt get mounted the unit is too small and gets easily lost without proper airflow

Nice Item! Good price! This alarm can be installed on the wall, placed on a shelf, counter-top or desk. I don't have to screw it to the wall.

A must have if you use kerosene heaters for backup emergency heat. Works flawlessly , takes up very little space. I like knowing that I can sleep peacefully without the worry of carbon monoxide poisoning for me and my family. Also can not beat the price for that peace of mind. I would highly recommend this product.

Easily mounts to wall, good price, nice safety feature to have

I ordered several Kidde smoke alarms and several of these carbon monoxide alarms, love them all! They look slick, are extremely easy to use, and are more compact than other products in this field. They are in use throughout several clinics and I have the utmost trust in them. I ordered them all online and had them in-hand in no time!!! Will definitely use The Home Depot online ordering system again!

Extremely easy to install. It could be wall mounted or just place on a desk or table as per instruction. It only took me 2 minutes to install one on the wall. For less than $20 a piece I strongly recommend every family gets at least one of these. You'll need at least two if you have a 2 story home. For less than $20 you can protect your home and your loved ones.
