Works great however in just a few weeks the light over the stove had gone out so back to buy a new bulb going to look at LED’s less energy and will last longer I think it’s 3 weeks old.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We updated our kitchen appliances a week ago and installed this microwave. I have to say this thing is a beast. You can steam, bake, cook and reheat in this thing. I have nothing bad to say about this microwave. Since we have only had it a week we have not had time to check out all the features but what I have used it for so far it is great. I cant wait to try the convection feature. There is so much room inside this microwave, you will be amazed. I love the look of the microwave, we got all new Kitchenaid appliances and our kitchen looks so much better. I think we will be a Kitchenaid customers from now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this a few weeks ago. I loved our old one so much, I felt the need to update and purchased the new and improved model.

Just installed it yesterday, so this review is strictly about first impressions. So far, though, so good. Installation was of average difficulty for this type of appliance. I didn't have to pay for installation, as I'm handy enough to get it done myself. The final stages, however, are obligatorily a two-person operation. The top of the microwave seems to have been designed in such a way that there's a slight raised area toward the front (that lines up with where one of the top bolts will attach), and, as a result, no matter how tightly you screw down the bolt, the top right side won't hanging 100% flush with the underside of the cabinet. (Shown in one of the attached photos.) It's minor, and it doesn't interfere with the operation of the appliance, but it still seems odd to me. I purchased this model specifically because we're a household with mobility issues, and I like that the controls are accessible along the lower edge of the door. It's a couple of inches taller than my last over-the-range microwave, so, consequently, it hangs lower and is less cumbersome to lift things into it. Because it's also a convection oven, it came with two metal racks. (I still don't understand how you can stick metal into a microwave now. It boggles the mind. Our first microwave sparked on fire if you put metal of any kind in it.) It operates very quietly, which is a nice change from our last over-the-range microwave. However, the one down side so far is how loudly the door, itself, closes. If you live in a free-standing house, it's probably not going to matter, but we live in a townhouse with a shared wall directly behind the oven, so I've had to take pains to put thick felt bumpers on all the cupboards so that they don't percuss through the wall when you close them. The door of this KitchenAid microwave has a magnet that pulls it shut into a sealed closure, and, no matter how gently I try to close the door, it's embarrassingly loud. Removing the oven rack helped a LOT, but I had still to put felt bumper pads on the inside of the door (outside the seal, of course) to try to bring down the decibels of "boom" it caused. All in all, though, I'm liking this KitchenAid over-the-range convection microwave. It's a couple hundred dollars overpriced, in my opinion. I wish that had been different. However, the quality is there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for about 2 months.... I havnt used all the features yet but everything I’ve used has been literally perfect! Popcorn... reheat, cook... the exhaust fan is excellent with 6 levels.. the light is bright with a hi and low setting... more expensive than most .. but worth it... the only reason it doesn’t get a five star review from me is because the programming buttons ie: to enter the mode and duration for cooking are difficult to read as they are “embedded” in the glass door panel. I would have expected the buttons to light up as soon as you open the door to put your food in the microwave but i have to have a light on in the kitchen whenever i want to heat something up

It is so quite and the built in fan is very powerful! I was Leary that it would not take care of the odors when frying, no problem there! I am so glad this one was my choice!

I absolutely recommend this product. We revised our kitchen in 2016. The installation was a challenge since it was heavy and the template needed adjustments. It protrudes a bit from the cabinets. Once installed the microwave and oven features are amazing and work beautifully. Popcorn setting is perfect!!! I tend to use more as an oven than microwave which surprises me but it is so easy to use menu selections to heat and cook food. This is used a beach property and does not generate as much heat as the oven would do for cooking appetizers, etc. making is primary source at certain times of the year. I would definitely buy this again.

We love home depot, but this microwave was broken from the day of purchase. We noticed that the fan was abnormally loud and got louder as we turned the fan speed lower. We contacted kitchenaid to help, and they sent a repairman who took the microwave for a month! Finally got it back today and it was dented in two places, scratched, and reeked of cigarette smoke. Called kitchenaid again and their solution was to send it out for repair again. My solution was a little bit easier, return the product and avoid kitchenaid products in the future.

I previously had a GE Profile convection/micro. I love this one so much more. So many options and presets. You’re gonna love it, too!

This new KitchenAid Microwave makes cooking so easy. You can place leftovers in it and go thru the menu and auto set time for you dinner and it comes out perfect. Hot without cold spots and not burning! Perfect and Mama is happy!

The door is sturdy and you know it will last. I love the features, especially the steamer. I now steam all my vegetables and fish.. I haven’t tried convection yet but it’s on my todo list. Yes it is an expensive microwave, but you pay for what you get. But cheap and it is cheap, spend the money and it’s worth every penny.

As previously review posted.......HOT HANDLE and exhaust not working. After removing unit from wall vent holes snapped out, plate on top blocking UP exhaust and motor position correct. Yet it will not exhaust out thru wall duct. Dampers move freely and it blows out the wall like crazy. To their credit Kitchenaid / whirlpool paid me for cost + tax of unit, now waiting for pick up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The huge door makes you feel like there is more space inside than there is. Sure, 1.9 Cu feet is advertised correctly but still. The whole front opens as a door and then the inside looks tiny. Also. it is super deep and higher than most so we needed to make the cabinets above the microwave less high so there is space above the over for foot to breathe and for the range in the microwave to be effective.

Fit and finish is spectacular. Very quiet and easy to use. Great product. Love KitchenAid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replacing a microwave that is over the stove is always a tricky decision as you dont want to do it again n again. I like to do extensive research before actual product view and then finally a buying decision. Aim this time was to buy a product that is not only a microwave oven but also a convection oven as well. Right from the begining of the research it was clear that KitchenAid is the leader in this product category. The best combo of quality, functionality and price all converging in. Its been almost 4 weeks now and we have used it extensively from baking to air frying to simple microwave tasks and its a work horse. There is good noise insulation so its not very noisy and works great. Some adjustments needed to default settings to manage our reciepes the way we like them but otherwise it has a plethora of default options for novice users. We are kitchen Aid fan now and will look to this brand from our next appliance purchase. if you are looking for a convection / microwave combo then i highly recommend thi sproduct. Best buy has it in stock and display and you can get a better feel before buying it.

I bought this instead of a Samsung, which would've matched my other kitchen appliances, but thought Kitchenaid was a better product. I find the controls to cumbersome because you have to go through a series of steps in order to select which feature you want to use. It's not intuitive, in fact I wish they offered a class to educate me on how to use it. I'm having to do trial and error, which is completely a waste of time. I made cookies in it last night. They don't cook evenly. The back left corner of the oven is hotter than the front right, so in every batch of cookies, there were some burned, and some not cooked enough/raw inside. I'm very disappointed in Kitchenaid. I might have to return this for a different one.
